Digital Design, IC Fabrication Programming: C/C++, MATLAB, VHDL, Java, Assembly, Python Instrumentation: Multimeter, Logic Analyzer, NetBeans, MyDAQ, Quartus II,FPGA Development Board, Waveform/Function Generator, Soldering Iron, Oscilloscope, TI C2000 Microprocessor, Cadence Virtuoso Operating Systems: Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X, Linux PROJECTS Electronic Chessboard Aug 2013 May 2014 Worked in a group of 6 members to design and build an electronic chessboard that used LEDs to light up pathways a player can take to win the game of chess. Assigned the task of the hardware implementation of the senior design project. Used printing and circuit simulation software to develop the PCB for the chessboard. Digital Design Project Nov 2012 Dec 2012 Emphasis on building a Discrete Digital Synthesizer to generate digital waveforms. This was accomplished by working in a group of five, by writing VHDL code, and by implementing the code on a FPGA Development Board. Microcontroller & Motor Control Aug 2013 Dec 2013 Programmed a TI C2000 microcontroller in C to perform specific feedback control tasks. Learned to analyze and extrapolate data from graphs produced by the AC and DC motors that were programmed. Text Detection (Math) Jan 2014 Apr 2014 Part of a group of three in which the goal was to capture handwritten mathematical equations and solve them electronically. Was responsible for capturing the handwritten text and using Matlab to adjust the picture for lighting variations and automatically cropping the regions of interest. WORK EXPERIENCE Strong Systems International, Engineering Intern, Norcross, GA April 2013 August 2013 Worked in the engineering department to build, test and help improve the design of STA units. Repaired damaged STA units by using multimeters and oscilloscopes. Trained another intern on the STA building and testing process. Assisted in writing Python code to compute the average temperatures for 8 units after they have undergone testing. Piano Instructor Aug 2009 Present Taught children from ages six through eighteen how to read music, understand musical theory, and play different melodies with vocal accompany. Seven+ students have been trained to play the piano and three of them are now playing in local churches. Atlanta VA Medical Center Volunteer June 2009 July 2010 Worked in the IT department of the Atlanta VA Medical Center to fix problems with different computer equipment ranging from fixing motherboards, installing new operating systems, and cloning hard drives. Had to respond to problems in a quick and responsible manner in order to keep the hospital operating efficiently. Accumulated over 250 community service hours. LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY SERVICE Youth Coordinator July 2011 Present Currently the Youth coordinator for Atlanta Assemblies of God. Organized various activities for children under the age of twenty-one.
