Translated by Dr. N.T. Bhat
This is a custom founded by our ancestors. It is held customarily on
the sankranthi (eve) of the month of sooNa. The joogi performs a service.
On the soil of naalaga there is the shrine of the three jumaadis. In front of
the shrine prayer is offered. This is the place where you prescribed this rite.
Our elders had trust in you. J ust as the three jumaadis protected out
ancestors let them insure out sucess and prosperity. This is the charge of the
three deeties residing in this spot of naalaga.
