GbE MAX Frame Size it is the maximum size (in bytes) of the Ethernet
frames allowed on Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps) ports
Default Value = 1522 bytes Range = 64 to 9600 byes
FE MAX Frame Size it is the maximum size (in bytes) of the Ethernet frames
allowed on Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) ports
Default Value = 1522 bytes Range = 64 to 2000 byes
Aging enabling aging allows the FBD (Forwarding Data Base) to delete the
learnt MAC address if is not communicating for a certain amount of time (FDB
Aging Time)
On Aging function is enabled (default setting)
Off Aging function is disabled (MAC address entries will not be deleted from
FDB)
FDB Aging Time it is time (in second) for which the FDB will wait before
deleting the MAC entry if it is not communicating
Default Value = 300 s Range = 5 to 163680 s
VLAN Mode this option choose the tagging mode in case of VLAN being used
802.1q VLAN tagging will be done using IEEE 802.1q standard (default setting)
802.1ad VLAN tagging will be done using IEEE 802.1ad (QinQ, provider bridge)
(802.1ad mode is not available for iPasolink EX current version )
Default VLAN ID it is VLAN ID which will be used as default (native) VLAN
Default Value = 1
Range = 1 to 4094 (any VLAN can be set as default VLAN)
Default VLAN TPID Tag Protocol Identifier
Default Value = 0x8100 for 802.1Q-tagged frame (Cannot be changed in Rel.2)

MDI ports connect to MDIX ports via straight-through twisted pair cabling; both
MDI-to-MDI and MDIX-to-MDIX connections use crossover twisted pair
cabling, Auto MDI / MDIX removes these restriction on choosing cable type
When sending station transmits data faster than the receiving station can
accept it. The overwhelmed network element will send a PAUSE frame, which
halts the transmission of the sender for a specified period of time
Port Usage Enable or disable the port (by default it is enabled)
Port Name Any user friendly port name can be used (maximum 32
characters)
Media Type Electrical (RJ 45) or Optical (SFP) (by default it is electrical)
Speed Choose among 100 Mbps, Auto Negotiation (by default it is
Auto Negotiation)
When speed is chosen to be auto negotiated, duplex mode as well as
MDI/MDIX will also be auto negotiated
Duplex Mode Full Duplex or Half Duplex (by default it is Full)

STP MAX Hop Count 1 to 40 See below
154
The MSTP maximum hop count value is the maximum number of hops in the region. The MSTI root bridge sends BPDUs with the hop
count set to the maximum value. When a bridge receives this BPDU, it decrements the remaining hop count by one and propagates this
hop count in the BPDUs it sends. When a bridge receives a BPDU with a hop count of zero, the bridge discards the BPDU

Congestion Avoidance: monitor network traffic loads in an effort to
anticipate and avoid congestion at common network bottlenecks.
Congestion avoidance is achieved through packet dropping by
Weighted Tail Drop (WTD)
Weighted Random Early Detection (WRED)
Congestion Management (Scheduling) : control congestion by
determining the order in which packets are sent out an interface
based on priorities. the creation of queues, assignment of packets to
those queues and scheduling of the packets in a queue for
transmission as types of following methods:
Strict Priority (SP)
Deficit Weighted Round Robin (DWRR)
SP+DWRR

QoS/Classification Port Based QoS Mode
160
Unlike Equipment Based QoS
mode, Port Based QoS Mode can
assign different Classification
Mode for each Port in the IDU.
Click on the Port#, to open the Port Classification
Mode Setting window for the selected Port.
Click the Port Classification Mode drop down list and
select: Port, CoS(C-Tag) or IPv4/v6 DSCP.
Click the Default Port Priority drop down list and select
the default priority level for the port.
Port: This classification mode
change the Tagged or Untagged
frames CoS to default port priority
value.
There are three Port Based QoS
modes..
CoS (C-Tag): This classification
mode change the untagged frame
CoS value to the default port
priority value. For tagged frames
use the CoS of the incoming
frame
IPv4.v6 DSCP: This classification
mode use the DSCP value in frames
with IP header to select the CoS
value according to the DSCP
Classification Mapping created.
For frames without IP Header use
the default port priority as the CoS
value.
