ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze: (1) Time working allocation of breeders with integrated
system and non-integrated system for beef cattle at subdistrict of Konda in South Konawe
Regency; (2) presumed factors affect total of time allocation of breeders with integrated system
and non-integrated system for beef cattle at subdistrict of Konda in South Konawe Regency; and
(3) breeders income with integrated system and non-integrated system for beef cattle at
subdistrict of Konda in South Konawe Regency. This study was conducted in March until
December 2013. Samples were selected by stratified sampling method, 25 samples represented
breeders with integrated system and 31 samples represented breeders with non-integrated system.
Analysis of data use 3 methods; analysis of breeders time working allocation, analysis of factors
affect total of breeders time working allocation, and analysis of breeders income. Result of time
allocation analysis shows that total of time allocation from breeders with integrated system is
1.876,48 hours per year while breeders with non-integrated is 2.338,87 hours per year. Variable
of area and business scale affect significantly toward the time allocation in integrated system,
meanwhile in non-integrated only scale of business affects significantly. Result of difference test
shows that there is an effect of breed pattern (with integrated system and non-integrated system)
toward allocation of breeds time working. Analysis of income indicates that the income of
breeders with integrated system is RP 23.679.556 per year while with non-integrated system is
Rp 4.676.172 per year (without counting other income out of beef breeding) or Rp 14.376.484
per year. Result of difference test shows that there is an effect of breeding pattern to the income
without accounting other income (business beside beef breeding) and there is no effect of
breeding pattern to the income with considering other income (out of beef breeding). The
measurement of R/C ratio indicates that integrated system deserves more than non-integrated
without accounting other income (out of beef breeding) and non-integrated system is more
proper considering other income (other business beef breeding) but with more little scale of
business.
Key Words: Integrated, Non-Integrated, Time Allocation, Income.
