Modular Cylindrical
FM-200™ Agent Storage Container
P/N 93-120XXX-001
93.120X-1
DESCRIPTION
These cylindrical agent storage containers, which are less
than ten inches high and contain from 20 to 30 pounds of
FM-200, are ideal for height-limited locations such as un-
der-floor applications. They are equipped with a pressure
gauge, a burst disc type discharge valve, a replaceable ini-
tiator will assembly a screen assembly, cable assembly,
mounting brackets and safety plug. Each ASC has a boss-
mounted check valve which accepts and optional Pressure
switch (see Fenwal Data Sheet 93.3119.0) and is used for
recharging the container
Initiator assemblies must be ordered for each container. See
Fenwal data Sheet 93.1932.0 for information.
Total pressure in a filled container is adjusted to 360 psi at
70oF by superpressurizing with dry nitrogen.

• Six Pipe Sizes - 1/2” to 2” NPT
• Specially designed for FM-200
• Uniform Agent Distribution
• Custom Orifice Sizing
• UL Listed
• FMRC Approved
DESCRIPTION
These nozzles are used in Fenwal FM-200 Fire Suppres-
sion Systems to disperse FM-200 uniformly throughout the
hazard area. Patterns direct discharged FM-200 parallel to
the ceiling. Nozzles are available to discharge in either 180o
or 360o patterns, depending on location within the hazard
area. A selection of orifices is available for each nozzle size
to provide correct sizing for appropriate agent distribution.
Nozzles are constructed of brass, nozzle sizes are 1/2, 3/4,
1/ 1-1/4, 1-1/2 and 2 inch NPT. See Ordering Information for 360o Nozzle
sizes and part numbers.
DESIGN/INSTALLATION
The nozzles are equipped with female National Pipe Threads
and provide and equal distribution of agent throughout the
protected area. Nozzles should be mounted in a downward
vertical position only. The Placement of the nozzles for ad-
equate coverage to all portions of the hazard area is deter-
mined by considering the indicated throw of each nozzle.
When using large nozzles in an area where smaller nozzles
have a sufficient throw, care should be used to avoid any
unnecessary and unwanted turbulence.

Pressure Switch Assembly
Effective: January 2000
P/N 31-194133-0X
93.3119.0
FEATURES
• Easy Installation
• Available Normally Open or Normally Closed
• Explosion Resistant Cable Option
DESCRIPTION
This pressure switch assembly mounts directly to a check
valve on Fenwal spherical FM-200® agent storage contain-
ers to trigger a TROUBLE condition when container pres-
sure drops below 200 psig ±15 psi. Assemblies are available
with normally open or normally closed contacts, and with
standard or explosion resistant cable assemblies.
OPERATION
Normally Open - The pressure switch contacts are closed
when the container is pressurized in accordance with speci-
fications. The contacts open when pressure drops below 200
psig.
Normally Closed - The pressure switch contacts are open
when the container is pressurized in accordance with speci-
fications. The contacts close when pressure drops below
200 psig.
ORDERING INFORMATION
! CAUTION
Pressure in a normally filled container will drop Standard Pressure Switch Assembly -
below 200 psig at or below a temperature of Normally Open: P/N 31-194133-001

applications. Standard Pressure Switch Assembly -
INSTALLATION Normally Closed: P/N 31-194133-00
To install the pressure switch assembly, first unscrew the W/Explosion Resistant
guard around the unused boss on the container and remove Cable Assembly*: P/N 31-194133-004
the safety plug from the check valve. Secure the check valve
hex with a wrench to guard against loosening the check valve.

tightening and when loosening components for
removal. The Pressure Switch Assembly shall be used with Fenwal
spherical FM-200 agent storage containers to provide su-
pervision of loss of pressure and/or extinguishing agent by
indication of a Trouble signal at the Fenwal control unit. It
shall consist of a cable assembly and a pressure switch. It
shall be mounted directly on the container by means of a
1
boss-mounted check valve to facilitate removal of the pres-
sure switch without losing FM-200 agent.
Normally Open - The contacts of the switch shall be closed
when the container is pressurized in accordance with speci-
fications. The contacts will open when container pressure
drops below 200 ±15 psig. This switch shall not be used for
applications where ambient temperatures could drop to 10oF
(12oC) or lower as this temperature will cause normal vessel
pressure to drop below 200 psig.
Normally Closed - The contacts of the switch shall be open
when the container is pressurized in accordance with speci-
fications. The contacts will close when container pressure
drops below 200 ±15 psig. This switch shall not be used for
applications where ambient temperatures could drop to 10oF
(12oC) or lower as this temperature will cause normal vessel
pressure to drop below 200 psig.
The explosion resistant cable assembly shall be designed
for hazardous locations, Class 1, Groups C and D, Class 2,
Groups E, F and G. Its contacts shall be rated at 1 Amp at
120/240VAC and 2 Amps at 24VDC.
