Decorating Your Home and Your Life
It seems as though most people enjoy
decorating for Christmas. While
decorating is a fun part of the holiday
season, I'd challenge you to think
about decorating in terms of your life
today. Just as most people decorate
their homes, we all decorate our lives.
Decorations are used to show
something; they show others a
celebration of the seasons. Even so,
life decorations are used to show
others on the outside of an inward
belief.
What life decorations do you possess?
God desires that we would show the
decorations found in Ephesians 5:22-
23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against
such there is no law."
As Christians, we should put on the
decorations of love, joy, peace,

patience, and faith. We should show
forth our love for Christ through these
outward decorations.
Just as our family has to take down
fall decorations to put up Christmas
decorations, God desires that we
would take down the decorations of
the flesh, as is seen in verses 19-
21, "Now the works of the flesh are
manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations,
wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness,
revellings, and such like: of the
which I tell you before, as I have
also told you in time past, that they
which do such things shall not
inherit the kingdom of God."
Take a moment to think about your
life. Which decorations are shown
forth in your life?

If you are a widow or elderly and you do
NOT have family to assist you with snow
removal, you are welcome to call the
church offices for assistance during the
winter months.

Where Will I Spend Eternity? Your relationship to

Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question.
Our Dilemma:
We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our
thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23).
Our Inability:
We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned.
We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Our Saviour:
Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the
human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour (Romans
5:8; John 3:16).
Our Response:
Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be
saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as God’s children
(Romans 10:9, 13).
