2nd Preliminary Instrument use
1. You may use any hand-played instrument, including guitar, bass, jembe, etc.
2. Soloists may use a keyboard. (A keyboard will be set up in one Booth)
3. Bands may only use the keyboard/drumkits provided by the show sponsor.
(For the purpose of judging, amps may not be used, as judgment is made based on vocal skill.)

In the 2nd round, you must sing a song of your choice within a fixed time limit.
You must begin by singing the refrain/chorus section of your chosen song and only what you sing inside the time
limit will be judged.
Available genres include self-written, Korean pop, 'Trot', Rap, international pop, J-pop.
If you have a special skill (talent/dance/joke/etc.) it must be presented within the time limit.
There is no noraebang/karaoke system for backing music. If you have prepared a dance, you may bring a backing
music CD.
Drums and Keyboards are provided in the group booth, however other instruments must be provided by yourself
(the applicant).


Things to prepare
1. Completed Application form with photo (applicants under 14 years old may only apply with consent from their
parent/guardian)
2. Proof of Identity
* Every member of a group must bring identification.
3. Bands must provide a video up to 5 minutes long of a group performance on a USB flash drive ((Files must be
100Mb or less))
* This file will be used as reference when assessing the band's skill
4. If you have prepared a dance routine, you must provide your own CD for backing music
* After preparing all needed items from the checklist, double-check the date & time of the 2nd Preliminary, and
you must arrive at the location before 10:00am on the correct date.
((Late arrivals may be penalised, so make sure to arrive on time))

Seoul and shelter by Superstar K.
