O Lord, do not rebuke me in Thy Wrath,
nor chasten me in Thine Anger!
For Thine arrows pierce me deeply and
Thy Hand rests upon me.
There is no healing in my flesh because
of Thy Wrath, nor any Peace in my
bones because of my sins.

For my transgressions rise up over my
head - like a heavy burden they press
me down.
My wounds grow foul and fester
because of My foolishness.
I suffer misery, and I am utterly bowed
down all day long I mourn, for my
loins are filled with mockeries, and
there is no healing in my flesh.

I am afflicted and great humbled; I roar
because of the groaning of my heart.

O Lord, all my desire is before Thee
and My sighing is not hidden from
Thee.
My heart is troubled my strength fails
me, and even the light of my eyes
has failed me.
My friends and neighbours who draw
near stand against me, and my
family stands afar off.
And those who seek my soul use
violence, and those who seek evil for
me speak foolishness, and they plan
deception all day long.
I, like a deaf man, do not hear and I
am like a mute who does not open
his mouth.
And I am like a man who does not hear
and who has no reproofs in his
mouth.
For in Thee, O Lord, I hope - Thou will
hear, O Lord my God.
For I said: Let not my enemies rejoice
over me, for when my foot slips, they
boasted against me.

Let us praise in Hymns the child by
nature who was shown forth as
Mother beyond nature. For today
She is offered to the Lord in the
Temple of the Law as a Sweet
Smelling Savour, the Spiritual Fruit
of Her Righteous Parents.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit
Magnify, O my soul, the Power of the
Indivisible God-head in Three
Persons.
Let us glorify the one Nature in three
Persons, the one Indivisible Glory,
the Undivided Trinity in one
Godhead that is praised ceaselessly
in Heaven and on earth: in Piety let
us worship the Father, with the Son
and the Holy Spirit.
Now and ever, and to the Ages of
ages.
Amen
Magnify, O my soul, Her who is
greater in Honour and more
Glorious than the Hosts Above!
For those who with Faith seek Refuge in
Thy Compassion, O Virgin Mother of
God, and who piously worship Thy
Son as God and Lord of the World,
Intercede so that they may be
Delivered from corruption and
danger, and manifold temptations.

Because Thy Mercy is better than life,
my lips shall praise Thee.
Thus will I Bless Thee in my life; in Thy

As if with marrow and fatness may my

If I remember Thee on my bed, at

Yet those who seek my soul in vain,

I am counted among those who go down
to the Pit - I am like a helpless man,
free among the dead - like slain men
thrown down and sleeping in a tomb,
whom Thou Remembers no more,
and who are removed from Thy
Hand.
They laid me in the lowest pit, in dark
places and in the Shadow of Death.
Thy Wrath rested upon me, and Thou
brought all Thy Billows over me.
(PAUSE)

Thou removed my acquaintances far
from me; they made me an
abomination among themselves I
was betrayed, and did not escape.
My eyes have weakened from poverty.
and I cry to Thee, O Lord - all day

Will Thou work Wonders for the dead?

He does not deal with us according to
our sins, nor rewards us accoding to
our transgressions, for according to
the height of Heaven from earth, so
the Lord reigns in Mercy over those
who Fear Him as far as the East is
from the West, so does He remove
our transgressions from us!

As a father has compassion for his
children, so does our Lord have
Compassion on those who Fear Him,
for He knows how He formed us
He remembers that we are clay.
As for mankind his days are like grass
- like a flower of the field he
flourishes; for the wind passes over
it, and it shall not remain and it
shall no longer know its place.
Yet the Mercy of the Lord is from Ages
to Ages upon those who Fear Him.

And His Righteousness is upon
childrens children to those who
keep His Covenant and remember
His Commandments to obey them.
The Lord prepared His Throne in
Heaven and His Kingdom rules over
all.
Bless the Lord, all you His Angels
Mighty in Strength who do His
Word - who heed the Voice of His
Words.
Bless the Lord, all you His Hosts His
Ministers who do His Will.

Bless the Lord, all His Works, in all

meditated on the Works of Thy

I stretch out my hands to Thee my

Hear me speedily, O Lord my spirit

Turn not Thy Sight from me, lest I

Cause me to hear Thy Mercy in the

Make me know, O Lord, the Way
wherein I should walk, for to Thee I
lift up my soul.
Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord,
for to Thee I flee for Refuge.
Teach me to do Thy Will, for Thou art
my God.
Thy Good Spirit shall Guide me in

In Thy Righteousness Thou shall bring
my soul out of affliction and in Thy
Mercy Thou shall destroy my

destroy all who afflict my soul, for I

is always before me.

Against Thee only have I sinned and
done evil in Thy Sight that Thou
may be Justified in Thy Words, and
overcome when Thou art Judged.
Behold, I was conceived in
transgressions, and in sins my
mother bore me.
Behold, Thou Love Truth Thou
showed me the unknown and secret
things of Thy Wisdom.
Thou shall sprinkle me with hyssop,
and I will be Cleansed.
Thou shall wash me, and I will be made
whiter than snow.
Thou shall make me hear Joy and
Gladness my bones that were
humbled shall greatly Rejoice.
Turn Thy Sight from my sins, and blot
out all my transgressions.

PRIEST In those days Mary arose and went
in haste to the hill country, to a city
of Judah, and she entered the house
of Zachariah and greeted Elizabeth.
And when Elizabeth heard the greeting
of Mary, the babe leaped in her
womb;
And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy
Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud
cry: Blessed art Thou among women,
and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb!
And why is this granted to me, that
the Mother of my Lord should come
to me?
For behold, when the voice of Thy
greeting came to my ears, the babe in
my womb leaped for Joy.
And Blessed is she who believed, for
there would be a fulfilment of what
was spoken to her from the Lord.
And Mary said: My soul magnifies the
Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God
my Saviour, for He has regarded the
lowly estate of His handmaiden.

Before Thy conception, O Pure Virgin,
Thou wast Consecrated unto God;
and now after Thy birth Thou art
offered as a Gift to Him, in
fulfilment of Thy Parents Promise.
To the Divine Temple Thou art
brought, Thyself a Temple truly
Divine, innocent from the time Thou
was a babe; Thou has appeared in
