y misin de la empresa. Good morning teacher and classmates. In this opportunity, my partners and I are going to introduce you to one of the most innovative Peruvian companies. It is called INCALPACA. INCALPACA is part of Inca group. Inca group manages many companies that are dedicated to different industries but we are going to focus on one of their most successful companies. INCALPACA creates high quality garments using Peruvian fibers. We all know that Peruvian fibers are the best in the world and thats why foreign people are so interested in it. INCALPACAs mission is to offer excellent products and services linked to our cultural identity. We chose this company because we had heard about the huge success it has been making over the years. We are proud to tell you that INCALPACA started from scratch but now the owners of this company sell a wide variety of their products in other countries. Now, my partner is going to tell you a little about this companys origin. SEGUNDA PARTE (Alexandra)- Origenes, donde empez, nombre la familia.
In order to relate INCAPALPAs story it is necessary to go back to 1957, the year in which Grupo Inca was founded. It was established in the city of Arequipa, Peru, and it was dedicated to the export of alpaca fibre. Before they decided to call the company INCALPACA, they had called their company Patthey & Corzo. It took only some years to change the name into Grupo Inca.
Its founders are Francis O. Patthey, a Swiss citizen resident in Arequipa, and Hugo Corzo Morales, who was a native of Mollendo. They were friends and promoters of the qualities of alpaca. To sell the alpaca into markets of Europe, USA and Asia, they only needed the enterprising vision venture they had.
Changes in the marketplace motivated Grupo Inca founders even more to continue pushing the development of the Peruvian textile industry. Thus it was that, at the start of the 1980s, Condor TIPS and Industrial Tumi were created, companies dedicated respectively to the production of cloths and knitwear. Now those companies together are Incalpaca TPX.
Even though at the end of the 1980s decade Grupo Inca suffered under the yoke of terrorism and the deterioration of our countrys economy, they continued to find opportunities and kept their innovative force intact. Incalpaca also is responsible for running the chain of retail stores, Kuna. Incalpacas owners with a great perseverance have successfully opened stores in four other countries. Kuna has become popular in those countries thanks to the qualities of its clothes. Each year they work on improving the service they offer to attract customers.
Globalisation has consolidated INCALPACAs dream: to make the treasures of Peru known and admired throughout the world.
Their origins may be from Arequipa but today the Group has expanded worldwide. TERCERA PARTE(Estrella)- Tipo de- compaa, marcas y productos. INCALPACA is a textile company. Their five product lines, which enjoy prestigious positions in the home and international markets, are: -Fabrics -Knitted Goods -Accessories -Outerwear and Articles for the Home. These are sold under many renowned names in the world of fashion and particularly under their own trademarks TUMI, CNDOR and at their retail outlet chain, KUNA. The garments they sell in their sophisticated store, that is called Kuna, are made of the finest, softest and warmest fiber. There had been some stores that tried to sell the same products that incalpaca sells but none of them had the qualities that Kuna offers to their customers. Even though many companies cant help copying them, they are still the number one. Because of the high qualities of their products they created their slogan: Feel the hands of the Andes. It describes how it feels to wear one of their clothes.

QUINTA PARTE(Angie)- Razn por la es exitosa y la visin de la empresa. Although we started life as a family business, we have prospered thanks to the management of our companies by an excellent team of executives with wide-ranging abilities that enable them to call upon experience, imagination and talent and who are supported by an efficient and loyal workforce. Our story is one of permanent growth, even during adverse times, which is due to our being a dynamic entity always open to change. We have overcome challenges and difficulties, yet our rewards have always been the greater for it. In order to have made these successes possible, we have built a network of businesses and contacts throughout five continents. We can forecast with certainty that, in five or ten years time, the Grupo Inca will be different to what it is today because, if one thing defines us, it is our flexibility to face opportunities.
From the outset we have worked responsibly, instilled a respect for ecology, had a fair and harmonious relationship with our collaborators, complied with the law, paid correct prices to suppliers and always satisfied our clients. We are financially sound and our businesses are profitable, allowing us to view the future with optimism. At the moment we work with more than 7,700 collaborators and are proud of being able to continue to create jobs that improve the quality of life for many Peruvians.
SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY We apply a responsible policy whose ethical principles proclaim true respect for our world. We integrate with our workers and suppliers, building up equitable relationships with them; where there is confidence, bonds are established. We protect and encourage culture because we are an organization with a history, looking at the future. We promote the welfare of our communities, since progress is every person's right; and we have a commitment to the natural environment because we believe in it and respect life. INCALPACA sponsors the experimental station Pacomarca, so we are committed to innovation and education with the aim of achieving sustainable personal development of the alpaca breeders. The Ecological Patrol serves to educate people and aims to reforest the Arequipa region with the assistance of the children who learn, by means of games to develop an ecological relationship with the natural environment. At INCALPACA, we achieve responsible progress with mankind and nature hand in hand.
