ELECTRONICS DEVICES AND

CIRCUITS LAB

DESCRIPTION
This is the main lab where all
basic electronic devices and
their characteristics, applications
can be studied experimentally.
Using these devices the small
electronic circuits can be
designed and tested . Students
can perform practical on P-N
junction diode, Zener Diode,
rectifiers and filters, transistor
biasing and their characteristics in different modes, RC coupled amplifiers and
FETs. This Laboratory is also aimed to meet the requirements of practical work
meant for active components basic analysis, designing and testing of amplifier and
oscillators.

4. Study of Transistor Amplifier and its characteristics.
5. Study of Transistor Amplifier (Common base mode).
6. Study of Transistor Amplifier (Common Collector mode).
7. Study of Transistor Amplifier (Common Emitter mode).
8. Study of Transistor Biasing Methods.
9. Study of Thermal Stability of Transistor.
10. Study of FET Amplifier and its characteristics.
11. Study of MOSFET Amplifier and its characteristics.

1. To design the Active filters using Op-Amp.
2. OP-AMP as an Adder and Substrator circuit.
3. To construct an Astable Multivibrator using operational amplifier 741 for getting
squarewave.
4. Low and High frequency analysis of BJT.
5. To construct the second order Butterworth Filters.
6. Study of Current Mirror Circuit using BJT.
7. Verify the operation of a differentiator circuit using op amp 741 IC.
8. To construct an Op-Amp as a Function Generator.
9. Verify the operation of an integrator circuit using op amp 741 and Show that it actsas a low
pass filter.
10. Determination of OP-AMP Parameters using 741 IC.
11. Study To design and realize the RC Coupled Common Emitter BJTAmplifier using potential
divider biasing scheme.
12. To study the Schmitt trigger characteristics by using IC741.
Research Scope /Possibilities:
Circuits can be design using bread board, loose components and tested by using testing devices
such as CRO, multimeter and so on.
