The Affordable Choice
The density determination kit consists of apparatus which allows the user to weigh a sample in air
and then weigh the same in water or other liquid with a known density.
The software in the balance takes the operator through the process and finally displays the resultant

density on the LCD in g/cm , compensating for temperature and for the use of alternative fluids when
calculating the density of solids.
The density determination kit is compatible with the AEA and AAA analytical balances and the AEP
and AFP 3-decimal place top loading balances.
There are 2 versions of the kit - one for the AEA and AAA analytical balances and another for the
AEP and AFP 3-decimal place top loading balances.
The kit consists of:
Suspended weighing cradle to replace the standard pan
Independent support for the beaker of fluid
Glass beaker
Thermometer with clip for suspension in the fluid
Glass sinker of known volume for determination of fluid density

The Affordable Choice
The Adam printer is a compact thermal printer which is ideally suited for use with the Adam range of
laboratory balances.
There are two versions available:
1. Standard version - records each individual weight value plus date and time on the AEA, AAA,
AEP and AFP balances.
2. Statistics version - as well as each individual weight value, this version also prints out a full
statistical analysis of the values whenever requested by the operator. The statistical analysis
includes number of values, mean value, standard deviation, sum of all values, minimum,
maximum,etc. With statistical analysis enabled, the printer will record date and time on every Adam
laboratory balance.
The printer is controlled direct from the balance and is supplied with an RS-232 connector which
enables it to be linked directly to the AEA, AEP, AAA, AFP and ADG balances. As a general purpose
printer it can be used with any RS-232 interface.
Used with the AEA and AAA analytical balances and the AEP and AFP top-loading balances the
Adam printer will also record full calibration details in compliance with GLP requirements.
