Did You Know...that the East Tennessee District, Church of the Nazarene (of
which Estill Springs Nazarene is a part) voted in July, 2014 to accept a Resolution
supporting Amendment One to the Tennessee Constitution? The Resolution reads, in
part, as follows:
WHEREAS, the people of Tennessee will be permitted to vote on November 4,
2014 for Senate Joint Resolution 127 to accept the proposed Amendment 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the East Tennessee District of the
Church of the Nazarene, call upon Tennessee citizens to support Amendment 1 and
work energetically to pass it as an act of protection for life; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all Church of Nazarene members are encouraged
to pray sincerely for divine intervention in the Tennessee election, courageously
speak on behalf of life issues, contribute financially in support of efforts to pass the
Amendment, and, where possible, use personal influence to help ensure its passage.
