Proverbs 20: 9

Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from sin?

Holy Spirit reveals in Proverbs 20:9, the best way to be away from sin. A man of God
should be able to proclaim that he is away from sin and his heart –words, thoughts
and deeds- is pure. To become spiritually spotless clean makes a man approach the
kingdom of God without any difficulties.

When I focus on Pro 20:9, the Holy Ghost reveals 4 crucial stages that every man
should follow to defeat the enemy within us. Let’s look into these 3 steps first.

1. Awareness of sin.
2. Fight against sin
3. Determination to eradicate sin
4. Believe sin is crucified

Awareness of Sin

It says in 1 John 1:8: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” So it
is obvious that we cannot deny we have no sin in our hearts and become untruthful
human beings in the presence of God. Being aware of our sinful life leads us to be
fully conscious of our iniquities. Your awareness of sin makes you identify your
sinful way of life if you faithfully need to be away from way of demon which scatters
your very life into fragments in the presence of your own eyes. What you should
first do is to seek help from the Holy Spirit to explore your heart and spot out all
sort of sinful things within you. Psalm 139:23 gives us a clear picture of how you
seek help from the Holy Spirit. “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my
thoughts.” The Holy Words says in Galatians 5: 19:21 that our sin is exposed publicly
that never inherit the Kingdom of God.

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the
Kingdom of God.

It is so obvious my friends; our sin is exposed to ourselves so it is easy for us to

concentrate on our sinful life within us when you sincerely seek help from the Holy
Spirit.

Fighting Against Sin

You must have certain qualities to win this ruthless battle between you and the
satan. Perseverance of mind within you encourages you to have a go even if you
have your set backs at times. But what you need is perseverance of mind! It is said
in Luke 9:62 : “No one who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is fit for
service in the kingdom of God.”
You should determine yourself to eradicate the sin within you. In spite of all sort of
failures and set backs at first, you should not give it up trying. You are not alone
here to flight back the satan who makes you fall into sin back to back. Reading the
following God’s Words makes you feel that you are always with HIM to fight back
the sinful life and concur it for the rest of your life.
Philippians 4:13 NIV
I can do everything through him who gives me strength

Isaiah 40:29 NIV

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak

Psalm 119:28 NIV

My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.

Numbers 11:23 NIV

The Lord answered Moses " Is the Lord's arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you."

Psalm 18:32-34 NIV

It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He
trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

Psalm 27:1 NIV

The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall i fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when
you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Isaiah 40:31 NIV

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not
be faint

So be strong to resist all sort of temptation to flight back your sinful ways. Believe
firmly that the final combat with satan brings victory to you as the Almighty God is
within you to strengthen you whenever you are weak. Remember this verse which
encourage you and stimulates you to stand firm without any loss of faith in HIM. Isaiah
41:10 NIV “So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand.”

Determination

Eradication of sinful practice needs a firm intention and enormous courage

irrespective of all sort of fleshy desires around you. At the time removing your sin,
the greatest barrier is the fleshy desires that you have had so far. They become
tumbling stones on our path to salvation. The firm determination transforms your
very life into a true Christian who resembles Christ Himself! It seems all the time
the sinful life of your past chasing you wherever you go and however you try hard to
keep off all the memory of your past. Sinful life is wired up with our past actions.

Cleanse your past life with all your memory with the blood of Jesus.
