Barwa City STP and associated Works is located at Mesaimeer, Doha Qatar was built under the
developer Barwa City Real Estate - Housing Construction Project and is being handed over and operated
and maintained by Drainage Network O&M Department of Ashghal Assets Affairs. This project (STP and
the associated works) requires improvement works as outlined below.
The scope of improvement contract works comprises the following tasks:
Design and Construction of Chain Link Fences and Gates
Design and Construction of Car Park Shading
Design, Supply and Installation of Pre-fabricated (2) Portable Cabins (Guard House & Operators
booth)
Supply and Installation of Sign Boards and Building Signage
Supply and Installation of Street Lighting along FS PS & TSE PS.
Construction of TSE tanker filling point and ground injection line from TSE pump discharge line.
Carpentry Repair works for the existing building and some building utilities.
The Contractor shall complete and deliver the whole of the Works within Two Hundred and Ten (210)
days plus Four Hundred (400) days Maintenance Period.
The actual quantities for whole of the Works are subject to re-measurement in accordance with Sub
Clauses 55.1 and 55.2 of the Particular Conditions of Contract.

(5)- The companies who are categorized, by The General Authority of Planning & Urban
Development (UPDA), as either a Grade (A) Local Engineering Consultancy Office or an
International Consultancy Office.

This document is the Project Brief for the appointment of a Validation and Supervision
Consultant (VSC) also known as the Consultant who will provide the full range of
professional services as described in detail in Section C Part 1 of this Invitation to Tender
(ITT) document.
3.1.2. The Consultant shall undertake the design validation, design management validation,
project management, quantity surveying and supervision of the construction process for
this Project. The project design will be the responsibility of a Design and Build Contractor.
3.1.3. This document forms the Project Brief for the Design and Build for the Modification and
Additional Works to Existing Schools and Kindergartens (Fire Life Safety Code Compliance
Phase Four) Project and reflects the requirements of the end user, the Public Works
Authority (PWA).
3.1.4. The Consultant shall perform the Services described herein and any other Services
required to ensure the successful delivery of the Project. The Project Requirements as
described in this document shall not be construed as inhibiting architectural and
engineering design freedom.
3.1.5. The Tenderer shall submit a copy of their registration certificate(s), issued by the
Committee for the Enrolment of Engineers & Engineering Consultancy Offices of the
General Authority of Planning & Urban Development in accordance with Law No.19 of
2005 Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions and shall be classified as either
a Grade-A Local Engineering Consultancy Office or an International Consultancy Office.
This is a pass/fail evaluation criteria.
