ABSTRACT
Industrial Water Supply Permission to draw 2 MLD of water (or) 0.82 Cusecs
(approx) from Coringa Island Project (CIP) Canal by M/s Gujarat State Petroleum
Corporation Limited, Mallavaram Village Tallarevu Mandal, East Godavari District for
Industrial purpose Accorded Orders Issued.

ORDER:In the circumstances reported by the Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation) in the
reference read above, Government after careful examination of the matter hereby
accord permission for the drawal of 2 MLD of water (or) 0.82 Cusecs (approx) from
Coringa Island Project Canal in Tallarevu Mandal by M/s Gujarat State Petroleum
Corporation Limited for its erecting well Head Platform (WHP), laying sub-sea pipeline
for transportation of Gas and condensate storage plant and allied facilities at
Mallavaram Village, Tallarevu Mandal East Godavari District, subject to obtaining of
permission from District Collector, East Godavari District and Andhra Pradesh Pollution
Control Board and subject to payment of water royalty charges as fixed in
G.O.Ms.No.39, Irrigation & CAD (PW) Department dated 2.4.2002 for consumptive use
for industrial purpose and the at rates as fixed by Government from time to time and
subject to the following conditions:Conditions:1.

Actual water drawals from CIP Canal shall be commenced after completion of
Modernization of Canal system
The water can be spared on the availability of water in the Coringa Island
Project Canal
The entire cost of construction of Pump House, pipelines, excavation etc.,
should be borne by the user only
Water meters or suitable measuring devices should be installed by the Industry
at their own cost to measure the water consumed and should be made
available to the Department authorities and the representatives of the user
shall be present at all times for inspection.
The Industry should pay water rate at the existing rates subject to revision by
the Government from time to time. In case of failure to pay water rate /
royalty the permission to draw water shall stands cancelled
No field bodhi or pipeline shall be taken through or along the Government land
without approval of Government and if permission is accorded by the
Government the lease of Government land should be paid by the Company as
fixed by Government only.
The Industry shall obtain the prior concurrence of concerned Departments for
laying pipelines, crossings etc.
The Industry should make their own arrangements for supplementation of
water in their premises only.
The Industry should make their own arrangements to dispose the treated
effluents as per norms of Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board in their
premises only and should obtain prior permission if any needed from
Government to dispose treated effluents in the natural sources

10. The Irrigation Department reserves the right for cancellation of the permission
without assigning any reasons thereof.
11. The Irrigation Department is not responsible for non-supply of water due to
any reasons.
12. The Industry must acquire the private land for installation of pumping
arrangements.
13. The water drawn from the Coringa Island Project Canal should be utilized for
the purpose for which permission is granted.
Any misuse in this regard will
entail cancellation for the permission without any notice and liable for
imposition of penalty.
14. The Industry should follow the Revenue Board Standing Orders
15. The Industry shall pay security deposit at 2.5% on ten years water charges,
for which permission is granted
16. The permission shall be for a period of 10 years (ten) only and the permission
shall be renewed well in advance before the expiry of permission
17. The Industry shall pay one year water charges as advance before entering into
agreement.
18. The Industry should follow the G.O.Ms.No.39, I&CAD (PW)
Department dated 2.4.2002 and shall pay royalty at the rate of
Rs.4.50 per 1000 gallons as the water is for consumptive use.
19. The Industry should make its own arrangements for summer storage during
the canal closer periods
20. The Industry has to conclude an agreement with the concerned
Superintending Engineer Irrigation Circle Dowlaiswaram, as per Board
Standing Orders.
21. A detailed plan showing the location, the intake arrangements, details of
pump-house, conveyance system etc., shall be furnished to the Department.
22. The Industry shall abide any other condition laid down by the Government /
Department from time to time.
23. The Industry shall pay water charges for the water estimated quantity in
advance at the start of the financial year i.e. before 10th April every year.

The Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation) shall take necessary further action in the
matter.
