STEP 1
Complete our KYC from with the basic information needed so we can work on a quote,
this allows us
to understand your investment budget, what your company does and what you want to
achieve. We
may also request a further discussion at Oryx World Business Centre or over the phone.
A quote will
then be prepared and sent to you for approval.
STEP 2
Choose 5 company names and send them to us in order of preference so it can be
checked if they are
already taken.
The Dubai Economic Department (DED) application is to be signed by all shareholders.
STEP 3
The trade name is registered.
STEP 4
We apply for initial approval for the business activity.
STEP 5
Court agreement typing service and attestation of documents.
STEP 6
The tenancy contract is required at this stage. The PRO will get planning department
approval.
STEP 7
The documents are submitted to DED and they generate a payment voucher (the total
amount due
depends on the business activity, number of partners and annual rent).
STEP 8
Once the licence is issued, a company stamp is produced.
STEP 9
A company PO Box will be set up, this will be registered in your licence.
STEP 10
The company immigration card is applied for.
STEP 11
The company labour card is applied for so you can start recruiting staff.
STEP 12
We collect the Chamber of Commerce certificate for you. cense
In setting up a professional firm, 100% foreign ownership and sole proprietorship are permitted. Such firms may
engage in professional or artisan activities. A UAE national must be appointed as Local Service Agent (Wakeel
Khidmaat), but he has no direct involvement in the business and is paid a lump sum sponsorship fees per year.
The role of the Local Service Agent is to assist in obtaining license, visa, labour card, etc.
Trading, Industrial and Tourism Licenses can be made LLC or Sole Establishment with UAE National's 100%
ownership. Expatriate investor cannot take 100% ownership of these licenses. But in Professional License, 100%
expatriate ownership and sole proprietorship are permitted.
CIVIL COMPANY: If the owner is more than one in Professional License, it is called Civil Company.

Steps
Type Local Service Agent Agreement appointing UAE National as Service Agent of the Establishment from a legal
translator and get them attested from Notary Public at Al Tawar Centre.
Legal translator's seal is not required if the the agreement is only in Arabic.
You should mention Sponsor's yearly fees in this Agreement.
If there is more than one owner, you should make one more agreement (Civil Company Partnership Agreement)
and get attested from Notary Public.
CAPITAL: You can write the capital amount in Civil Company Partnership Agreement as much as you want. No need
to show Capital deposit certificate from bank. Notary will charge a small percentage at the time of attestation
according to the Capital amount and number of partners. You can divide the shares as you like and increase capital
amount according to the number of partners. A partner's share value should be Dh70,000 or more to apply for
Partner/Investor
Visa.
INVESTOR VISA: A partner in a professional license (Civil Company) will be required to pay Dh20,000 as security
deposit. An investor in sole establishment license (professional license without partner) needs to deposit Dh10,000
only.

Tenancy Contract (It is suggested to contact the counter of the Planning Dept. of Dubai Municipality, at the
Department of Economic Development, on Telephone No. 04-2020105, or the Municipalitys Telephone No. 042063788, before leasing the premises in order to ensure that it is suitable for the business).
Get approval on Tenancy contract from Planning Dept. of Dubai Municipality at DED.
Submit Initial approval, Name reservation certificate, Attested Memorandum & Tenancy Contract at Department
of Economic Development.
Payment voucher will be issued same time or can be printed from DED Website after two days (for some type of
business).
CAPITAL:
You can write the capital amount in LLC Agreement as much as you want. No need to show Capital deposit
certificate from bank. Notary will charge a small percentage at the time of attestation according to the Capital
amount and number of partners. Standard capital amount is Dh300,000 out of which 51% (Dh153,000) should be
allocated to National partner and remaining 49% can be divided among expatriate partners. If the expatriate
partners are two, you can divide the remaining shares to 25% (Dh75,000) & 24% (Dh72,000). If the expatriate
partners are more, you can increase the capital. A partner's share value should be Dh70,000 or more to apply for
Partner Visa.

Partner Accommodation Fees, If any of the partner paid his accommodation fees with any other license, you can
approach DED to remove his fees after get issued the Payment Voucher

Travels
For Travel Agency Dh100,000 to be deposited at Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing. This deposit is
irrevocable till the license cancelled.
For Building Contracting Company License, Dh10,000 to be extra at the Department of Economic Development
when the license issued first time.
General Trading
For General Trading License, Dh15,000 to be extra at the Department of Economic Development when the
license issued first time.
Customs Broker
Dh50,000 to be deposited at Dubai Customs. This deposit is irrevocable till the license is cancelled.
Dh5500 to be paid at Telecommunications Regulator Authority (TRA). This is one time fee.
