PowerMILL 2012 Installation Guidelines

1. EXIT OUT OF ALL DELCAM SOFTWARE before putting the PowerMILL 2012 DVD

in the drive. The DVD should auto run.

2. On a 64 bit computer, you will need to choose which version to install.

We recommend installing the 64 bit version.

3. You must accept the license agreement to continue.

6. Select the items to install.

7. REQUIRED - Select both options under Toolpath Output. This will give you

the ability to post CNC code from PowerMILL using Ductpost or

Postprocessor.

8. REQUIRED - Under Utilities, select the PAFWizard. This will install the

PAFWizard 2012 which will enable CCSI to diagnose support issues. You
can also update your PAFs using this program.

9. OPTIONAL - If you do not have a full seat of PowerSHAPE on this computer,

select PowerMILL Modeling. This will give you advanced access to editing
patterns and boundaries in PowerMILL.

10. OPTIONAL - If you do not have Exchange 2012 R2 installed, select this

option. This will enable you to import files into PowerMILL.

11. Select Install to install the software on your computer.

12. Your software is now installed.

13. IF YOU ARE RUNNING WINDOWS 7, start the software the first time only using

the right click option to Run as Administrator. This will allow PowerMILL
full access to Windows to configure the software properly.
14. Check for updates to get the latest service pack - you will need to have

Internet access to do this: Start PowerMILL and under the Help pull
down menu, select Check for Updates. Follow the directions in the dialog
box. You will need to have Internet access to do this. (You still have the
ability to download software updates from the Cad Cam Systems FTP site. We
have instructions on how to get there on the Answer Page section of our
website: www.cadcamsystemsinc.com )
