ABC Matrix of the New Year: Personal Strategic planning

Gerisval Alves Pessoa*

For much people the period of the Christmas and New Year eve
is a desire and dream, hope, reflection moment that the New Year
that is coming brings health, peace, harmony happiness and
accomplishments.

They are much message pretty that we receive from our

immense network in desiring the health, happiness, joy, peace,
harmony, success and accomplishments amongst others. Beyond
everything, we have our own desires, goals and objectives. Then what
to do so that everything of good happens during the 365 days that is
coming? To the times, it seems that we are living in a vicious cycle,
the 365 days if had passed and nothing it moved! Have you already
felt like this sometimes?

The power of our lives is our dreams, dream of being happy (our
bigger dream and objective), to travel, to have or to buy a new car, to
acquire a property, of professional growth, amongst others. But, as to
become these dreams in reality? They are feasible?

It believes, many of the times, the responsibility for the

accomplishment of our dreams is ours, that is, our success depends
on us. Then, if only it depends on us, as to transform the cycle and
virtuous cycle vicious? What it lacks?

It lacks PLANNING

It soon defines at the beginning of the year its personal,

professional and spiritual objectives. That is, it defines and it specifies
its DREAMS. What you desire to conquer, to consume, to try, to learn,
to live deeply, to practice in next the 365 days, without if forgetting
its mission.

Generally the people have many objectives and to the times,

they do not obtain to carry through all. So that let us not leave to
carry through most important and that it depends exclusively on we
ourselves, one more time follows a rule of the organizations the
beginning of “orientation for priorities”.

I suggest then, the use of the “ABC priorities matrix” (A -

Autonomy, B – Benefits and C - Cost).

Lists all its objective/dreams:

Rate each factor using the following rule:

Autonomy factor:

Note 5 - The responsibility for the accomplishment of the

objective exclusively depends on you

Note 3 - the responsibility for the accomplishment of the

objective depends you and on its family

Note 1 - the responsibility for the accomplishment of the

objective depends on the other

Benefit factor:

Note 5 - The results of this objective will benefit to that they are
around me Note 3 - The results of this objective will benefit
only my family

Note 1 – The results of this objective will only benefit me.

Cost factor:

Note 5 - It is not necessary to spend to reach this objective

Note 3 - the costs are low to reach this objective

Note 1 - costs are raised to reach these objectives

Result = (A x B x C)

Objectives A B C Total
(AxBxC)

Prioritize in the objectives that to get greater score. For the

prioritized objectives, they make then its detailing, defining value and
stated time for its attendance. Thus, you it will be defining its proper
goals. It also defined its strategies. It makes an action list that you
need to make or to decide, considering the environment
(opportunities and threats) to always reach the objectives.

It adopts a diary for the future, with all the prioritized objectives
and its respective action. It establishes for each objective a
performance indicator, that is, one way to have the control of
fulfillment of the objectives.

Now, that everything is planned, there is not more time to lose,

implements everything what it was planned. It always has affirmative
ATTITUDE and feel the virtuous cycle of its life, therefore at the end of
the year you it will have new dreams and objectives to be carried
through.
