NORPLAN Tanzania Ltd (NORPLAN) is a multidisciplinary firm that was established in

2005. It is registered with Engineers Registration Board as a Local Consulting Company under
Registration Number LCF 092. NORPLAN is a member of Association of Consulting Engineers
Tanzania (ACET) hence directly affiliated with FIDIC. The firm is therefore an independent
operation, with no interests in any manufacturing or contracting organizations or any other
business that is likely to create conflict of interest with projects of our Clients. Our impartiality
guarantees an objective level of professional advice.
NTL majority shareholding is held by Tanzanian Engineers who have been running the
activities of NORPLAN in Tanzania in the last decade. This arrangement confirms NORPLANs
strategy of being a serious partner in the consulting business and wants to contribute to the
rapid economic and social development in Tanzania.
NORPLANs Engineers are registered with relevant engineering bodies to confirm their
qualification, experience and adherence to ethics as guided by these bodies. They are also
registered by ERB either as Professional Engineers or Consulting Engineers.
The Company has its offices in Mikocheni B, Plot 92, Warioba Street, Dar es Salaam. The
office is adequate to cater for the current work force and visiting associates.

Wideening of Sam Nujoma Road (3.95

5Km) to Dual Carriage Way
The Sam Nujoma Road is Widened from a two lane single carriage way to a two way
four lane dual carriage way. The road is also crossing on one Sinza bridge that has a span of
14m and a width of 30m. The bridge is constructed to accommodate four lanes dual carriage
way and two extra lanes in the middle to cater for future accommodation of fast moving
passenger vehicles.

Geoteechnical Engineering - Kigamboni Bridge

The proposed bridge will be constructed in the Kurasini area just near the Tanzania
Harbours Authority connecting Dar es Salaam's CBD to Kigamboni peninsula.
The project will include construction of two reinforced concrete pylons of a cable stayed
bridge with centre span of 250meter and total bridge length of 680meter, installation of wax

Wayleave Village Electrificatio

on Scheme (WVES)
As part of mitigation measures for Songo Songo gas development project, four
settlements along the gas pipeline Wayleave will be provided with electricity generated using
Songo Songo gas. The settlements are Bungu, Kibiti, Ikwiriri and Utete. An 8 MW Power
station has been installed at Somanga village South of Dar es Salaam. Together with the Power
Station, 33 kV lines and Low Voltage lines with associated civil and structural works have been

Local Government Training Institutte Hombolo, Dodoma

The project involved Construction of Lecture Theatres, Hostels and Store for Local
Government Training Institute Hombolo, Dodoma
The buildings were two storey framed structures comprising two lecture theatres to
accommodate 250 students each, hostels and a store cum office building. The activities
include also external parkings and roads including clean and foul water systems.
