Function: Log Statistics
Description:
The Log Statistics function supports displaying queried log statistics in tables. The log
statistics include operation logs, operators, and number of operations.
NE
The topology view supports using different icons to indicate different NEs.
If the corresponding equipment is managed by the system, the NE is physical NE in
topology view. Or else, it is virtual NE.
The system itself is a special NE in topology view.
Link
Topology view supports marking the physical or logical connection between NEs by
link.
There are two types of link: physical link and virtual link. The former represents the
actual link between two physical NEs. The latter represents manually set up to better
present the connections between NEs in the topology view.
Subnet
The topology view supports grouping the NEs by subnet to separate a big network
configuration to several smaller ones.
WOFD-060300
Function: Topology Navigation
Description:
The Topology Navigation function supports displaying NE and link by map and navigation
tree. It also provides operators with interfaces of configuration, alarm and performance related
operations.
On the topology view, the navigation tree on the left shows the topology objects (NE and
subnet) and their hierarchy. The map on the right shows all the topology objects and their
hierarchy on the current subnet and the alarm status of the topology objects.
The navigation tree and map are synchronous. The map on the right shows a certain topology
object when it is selected on the tree.

Function: Topology Object Searching and Locating
Description:
The Topology Object Searching and Locating function enables users to search for and
locate specified topology object.
The search supports multiple dimensions, including object name and property. Property here
refers to IP, version number, supplier and location information.
Fuzzy search by name or property is supported.

Function: System Monitoring
Description:
The System Monitoring function supports online monitoring of system running status and
hardware status.
The system status to be monitored includes:
l
CPU usage
l
l
Memory usage
Database utility
Disk utility
You can also set the thresholds for the system. If a counter exceeds the predefined threshold,
the system generates an alarm. When a counter is within the range of thresholds, the generated
alarm is cleared.
The hardware to be monitored includes:
l
Disk
CPU
Memory
Disk array
Network port
Battery
Environment

WOFD-070800
Function: Time Synchronization
Description:
The Time Synchronization function synchronizes network time by NTP protocol.
The system server supports synchronizing time with the upper level time server to ensure the
consistency of local time with time server. Meanwhile, it provides time source to other nodes
in the network to ensure the consistency of the managed network time.
WOFD-070900
Function: Daylight Saving Time, Multiple Time Zones management
Description:
Some countries use the daylight saving time (DST). There are two times of time system
switching every year. Some other countries belong to multiple time zones. Therefore, multiple
time zones must be distributed to NEs.
The DST and multiple time zone management functions are developed for these countries.
The client displays either the server time or the local NE time. The server time and the local
NE time are not displayed on the client at the same time.
WOFD-071000
Function: EMS License management
Description:
The EMS License Management function controls the availability of optional functions to
users. The system authenticates optional functions to users according to the authentication in
the license files.
The system manages and backs up the license files.
The function authentication information is displayed to users through the GUI.

Function: Backup and Restore
Description:
The system supports backup and restore of the system data. In case of system failure, the
backup can be restored to recover the system status to the latest status.
The data that can be backed up include system application software, operating system,
database software and other data.
The backup mediums are tapes and disks.
The System supports auto-backup and manual backup, the backup time and interval is
configurable.
The system also supports the full backup and the incremental backup.
WOFD-080400
Function: NE Data Backup and Restore
Description:
The NE Data Backup and Restore function enables users to back up all NE data on the
system. When NE loses data for failure, the data can be recovered by backup files on the
system.
The backup files are saved on the hard disk of server and can be backed up to other mediums.
The above NE data refers to the configuration data of an NE.

Service benefits:
To the operator:
Through this interface, the network management system (NMS) can conveniently obtain the
alarm data of the network and acknowledge or unacknowledged, clear the alarms, which
centralizes the management of the alarms in the whole network and reduces management cost
of the operator.
To the end user:
None.
Requirements on peripheral network entities:
The NMS must support the corresponding interface compliant with 3GPP R6 specifications.
WOFD-100210
Function: File Alarm Data Interface
Description:
The system supports periodically save the alarm data of database to the file. NMS or the third
partys system can obtain these files by FTP.
Service benefits:
To the operator:
The interface simplifies interconnect to NMS or the third party system and improves the
interface efficiency.
To the end user:
None.
Requirements on peripheral network entities:
The peer system must support the file interface.
WOFD-100210
