Analyzer Update

1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collection devices supported:

Added support for Ascom TEMS Investigation 14.6.2.

Added support for Ascom TEMS Pocket 13.0.

Added support for Waypoint (.ppf) for TEMS TPZ logfiles.

Added support for Accuver XCAL version 3.3.0.7.

Added support to Ding Li for WCDMA R&S TSMW Scanner.

Added support to Ding Li for iPhone 5 device.

Added support for JDSU version 17.0.3.

Added support for RAN W13A version of Ericsson GPEH logfiles.

Application layer improvements:

Platform improvements:

Added the 4G Inter-cell Interference Analysis feature.

Resolved a licensing issue preventing activation when Analyzer


was installed on the same machine as Agilent software.

2 New collection device or technology support


2.1 Accuver XCAL support

Added support for Couei version 3.3.0.7.


A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to set the attribute
App_Throughput_DL to invalid values.

2.2 Anritsu support

An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from displaying the
correct number of scanned PSCs in the Message Browser.

2.3 Ascom Symphony support

An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting any LTE
Scanner attributes.
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to show incorrect values of
DSA failure rate for HTTP UL.
A problem has been resolved that prevented Analyzer from
appropriately displaying the attribute AscomHTTP_URL.
An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting MOS
(Mean Opinion Score) attributes calculated using the P863 (POLKA)
algorithm.

2.4 Ascom TEMS API support

Added support for Ascom TEMS Investigation 14.6.2.

Added support for Ascom TEMS Pocket 13.0.

Added support for Waypoint (.ppf) for TEMS TPZ logfiles.

An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to display a very limited
number of messages in the Message Browser.
A new set of Open Loop Power Control attributes has been introduced in
this release:

2.5 DataPro support

A new message LTE ML1 Intra Frequency Cell Reselection has been decoded
and LTE attributes (RSRP, RSSI and PCI) in Idle are set accordingly.
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to display a single
timestamp throughout specific DataPro logfiles.
An issue has been fixed that prevented GPS interpolation from working
as expected for indoor DataPro logfiles.
Added support for an extended LTE scan message for R&S TSMW
(0x240a).

2.6 Ding Li support

Added support for WCDMA R&S TSMW Scanner in Ding Li logfiles.

Added support for iPhone 5 device in Ding Li logfiles.

An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from correctly setting
GSM attributes for the MC8755 device.
An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting the correct
value of the attribute SU_TC_PacketErrorRateInstantaneous.

2.7 Ericsson CT support

Added support for RAN W13A version of Ericsson GPEH logfiles.

2.8 Focus Infocom support

A new vendor-specific event (FocusInfocom_Event_CallRequest") has


been set at the MOC Dial Command.

2.9 JDSU support

Added support for JDSU version 17.0.3.

2.10 Qualcomm support

An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to list RSRP values in the
Message Browser in the correct order: invalid RSRP values (>=0) are
shifted to a lower position than valid RSRP values.
Added support for WCDMA and LTE messages for the new version of
Qualcomm chipset.
A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to crash when
specific EVDO RevB logfiles were loaded.

2.11 Rohde and Schwarz support

In GSM, an issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting
the correct Serving Sector.

2.12 Swissqual support

Added support for POLKA measurements in Swissqual files and related


new attributes:

2.13 Generic

A problem has been found and resolved that caused Analyzer to peg
false call drops.
An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from displaying the
correct 3G neighbor information in the GSM Measurement Report
message.
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to display incorrect DTX
mode information.

3 Application layer improvements


3.1 Spotlight

Added the 4G Inter-cell Interference Analysis feature.

This feature calculates the Interference Factor, based on RSRP scanner


measurements of the serving and neighbor LTE cells. This parameter is
associated with each location bin and represents the Inter-cell
interference (involving up to 6 neighbors) at a location bin level.

As shown in the screenshot above, either location bins or Serving-toInterferers lines are color coded.
By clicking on each location bin, it is possible to immediately identify on
the map which LTE cells are the main contributors of interference.
Alternatively, it is also possible to isolate the areas where a specific LTE
cell is interfering when a particular serving cell is selected.

4 Platform improvements

Resolved a licensing issue preventing activation when Analyzer was


installed on the same machine as Agilent software.
Resolved an issue that caused Analyzer to display incorrect Cell ID
information on Stateforms when using Japanese characters.
