WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT ON THIS COURSE?
EC students love to visit the many beautiful wine regions surrounding San
Francisco. In the English Plus Wine program, students will learn from among the
following topics;
Wine tasting terms
History of Wine in California
How Wine is made
Popular Grape Varietals
Tasting 6-10 wines in each class
The full-day wine country tour will visit up to 4 wineries in either Sonoma or Napa
wine regions. Popular tours include Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys north of
Healdsburg. Tasting classes are with native speakers of English.
After a minimum of a 1 week General English course, learn about a wide range of
grape varieties, and the process of making wine. Instructed in English, this wine
course will introduce you to new and useful vocabulary and provide you with a fun
and mature atmosphere to taste many different types of wine. Course includes a
tour of the beautiful Napa Valley, one of the most famous wine regions in the world.
The English Plus Wine program includes 3 Wine Appreciation Classes in San
Francisco and 1 All-Day Wine Country tour in either Napa or Sonoma County. The
Wine Appreciation classes are 1.5 to 2.5 hours in duration and are offered at
different venues in San Francisco depending on availability. Students should enrol
for a minimum of 4 weeks of General English (or Semi-Intensive or Intensive) and
we need to have at least 8 weeks advance notice to arrange the Wine Appreciation
classes.

Three 1-2 hour classes in San Francisco. (Students will need to take public
transport or in some cases walk to the class venue, will be in different areas
depending on the location)
1 full-day wine country tour which includes wine tasting at up to 4 different
wineries. Bus transportation is included from San Francisco. (Lunch is not
included).

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION FEES
Written notification of cancellation must be submitted in order for refunds to be
provided. All refunds are made to the original fee payer.
