Read these instructions carefully before beginning operation with your DefenX360 components.
General system information on DefenX360TM
This device is a part of the nnB home control system and works with the bi-directional wireless protocol.
All devices are delivered in a standard configuration.
All current technical documents and updates are provided under www.nnbtech.com.
General information on radio operation
The radio transmission is on a non-exclusive transmission path which means that there is a possibility of interference occurring.
Other interfering sources can be caused by switching operations, electrical motors or defective electrical devices.
The range of transmission within buildings can greatly deviate from open air distances.
Besides the transmitting power and the reception characteristics of the receiver, environmental influences such as humidity in the
vicinity and local structures also play an important role.

Introduction
DefenX360TM series wireless GSM LCD touchpad alarm system is the state-of-the-art LCD touchpad wired / wireless
alarm system for home and office security. Its aesthetic design with a user friendly illuminated LCD menu and a
touchpad keypad provide a new standard of alarm system installation and make your home works in a hi-tech style.
You can install the system and monitor your home / office all by yourself or via a security center service with Ademco
CID protocol. DefenX360TM secures the home for you, let you have a peaceful mind and enjoy your life.

System Definitions
Zone Types and Definitions
Perimeter zone (Outer zone defense): Detecting the space like doors, windows, etc., generally use wireless
door magnet sensors and wireless curtain PIR sensors.
Motion zone (Inner zone defense): Detecting the space like living room, aisles and bedrooms, room doors etc.,
generally use wireless wide-angle PIR sensors and door sensors.
Emergency zone: Detecting the space like emergency area (such as emergency distress, medical rescue, gas
leakage, smoke and fire alarm, etc., this zone keep 24-hour monitoring status automatically. Generally for panic
button, wireless gas sensor and wireless smoke sensor.
Modes of Arming
Armed Away mode: Once any detector in perimeter zones or motion zones is triggered, the host will set off
the alarm immediately and dial your preset numbers automatically.
Armed Home mode: Once any detector in perimeter zones is triggered, the host will alarm immediately and
dial your preset numbers automatically. It will not alarm after any detector in the motion zone is triggered.
Place a valid GSM SIM card in correct direction, then insert the SIM card slot into the Alarm Host. (no password,
clear all messages and contacts before use)
Adjust GSM antenna and check the GSM signal if it is OK.
Connect telephone land line to IN (Model DX360L & DX360ZL only)
Connect a telephone to OUT (optional) (Model DX360L & DX360ZL only)
Apply AC/DC power to the system with the power adapter provided, turn on the battery switch to ensure the
rechargeable battery is being charged.
On Armed (Home or Away). Flashing Smart sensor open detected. Off Disarmed.
On AC connected (normal). Flashing work with backup battery. Off low backup battery.

14:21:20, you may press 142120, now the host time will be 14:21:20. For invalid time, it cannot be saved by
pressing ENT.
Set date:
To set the host date (Also applied to the remote keypad).
ENT + press
YYMMDDW: 7 digits, meaning year (YY), month (MM), day (DD), week (W, 0 means Sunday).
For example 17th December, 2012, Thursday, you may press 1212174, now the host date will be 17th
December, 2012, Thursday.

Auto Dialer#s:
To set the reporting telephone numbers or reporting SMS.
Call Center is for call center, also can be used as the alarm status report number, the number set here will be
used to report to a call center with Ademco CID protocol or a specified number to report status of the system (arm
/ disarm / alarm / AC Failure).
Personal Nbr is for a personal number, only reports when system is in alarm.
Call by phone for voice alarming.
SMS Reporting for SMS alarming. If you choose SMS Reporting, system will just send SMS to mobile
numbers, but not land line numbers.

button to delete the old record , then press 1st telephone number + ENT
Press or button to select the report method (Call by phone / SMS Reporting) + ENT
Repeat process for 2nd phone number, 3rd phone number etc. In total you can install up to 5 phone numbers.
Entry delay:
To set the entrance delay time of alarm that allows you to disarm the system in a limit time.

XX: 2 digits, you can set 00~59 seconds, the default is 15.
Siren On/Off:
The system has 3 zones (Perimeter Zone, Motion Zone and Emergency Zone) for your options to enable or disable
the siren when sensors are triggered.
ENT + Siren On/Off, press or button to choose ON or OFF + ENT
The siren will alarm when sensors are triggered. You need to setup the alarming duration time (minutes) in the next
sub-menus.

XX: 2 digits, you can set 00~60 minutes, the defaults are 01 (1 minute) for emergency zone, 01 (1 minute)
perimeter zone and 01 (1 minute) for motion zone.
NOTE: If the time is set to M = 00 for a particular zone, then the siren will be set to
mute mode for this zone.

Arm/Disarm Beep:
ENT + or button + ENT
Choose YES or NO for having a short siren sound when arm or disarm the alarm host. Default is YES.
User ID:
This is only for use in security service call center management (Individual user can ignore this setting).
ENT + press
XXXX: 4 digits, you can set 0000~9999. Default user code 0001. This is used to identify the system number for
a security call center.
Upload status?:
This is used when you want the system status such as arm, disarm, alarm and AC power failure to be reported to the
call center number.

Choose YES or NO for upload or not upload the status. The defaulted is NO.
NOTE: If you monitor the system by yourself, this function is very useful as any status changes in
the system will be reported by SMS to the call center number (which is set to your mobile number).
You will then receive system information if there is an AC power failure, arm, disarm or alarm.

Three types: 2, 1, 0. (2 means motion zone, 1 means perimeter zone, 0 means emergency zone)

This setting is to enable or disable a zone.

Choose YES to bypass (disable) the sensor, choose NO to keep this zones sensors working. Default is
NO.

Choose YES if you want the sensors in this zone to have entry delay, choose NO if you want the alarm to
goes off immediately when any of the sensors in this zone is triggered, regardless of the entry delay time
setting. Default is NO.
Below shows the default zone allocation and recommended sensors, user has the flexibility to assign their own
configuration if necessary (Zone 00 01, 31 38 are fixed zones).

Program Sensor:
This setting is for adding or deleting sensors in all zones (including zone 00, 01). See below settings forZone
numberandGroup Number.
Zone Number:
Zone Number is the zone where you want the sensor program to.
The system has 39 zones in total. 29 wireless zones, 8 wired zones (optional) and 2 dedicated zones for
remotes (supports up to 4 remotes or wireless keypads per zone).

Group Number:
Group Number - each zone can accompany 4 sensors, defined as 0, 1, 2 or 3.

Wireless Code:
This option allows you to change the main host unique wireless code for transmission. It is used so that every
DefenX360 main host can have a different transmission code to avoid unintentional transmission to your neighbor's
DefenX360 system. (Also applied to the remote keypad)

NOTE: You do not need to change this code if there is no user nearby using the
DefenX360 system. Default is 00001 for main host and 00000001 for the remote
keypad. If you change this code after matching the accessories to the main host,
then they cannot receive the signal from the main host again. You have to re-match
the accessories or change back to the previous wireless code to work.
Alarm History:
This option allows you to check the alarm history records. The system is able to memorize up to 100 records with
alarm status, date and time.

Main unit Sync:
(Only applied to the remote keypad) This option allows the remote keypad matches to the main host to
receive status information.

The word Learning will show on the LCD Screen, trigger the alarm from main host, the word Success will
show on the LCD screen once the remote keypad receives the main host signal.

Record:
The message recorded will be used for playback in an alarm event. Press and hold the record button
(located at the back of the main host) and speak close to the mic hole of the host, and then release, the
voice is then recorded. You can record a maximum 10 seconds message.
Play:
Press the play button (located at the back of the main host) and you can hear the recorded message.
Telephone alarm:
After receiving the call, you will hear the recorded voice message immediately, it can be
played for 30 seconds repeatedly, then follow the below instruction:
Input 8 to enter into the listening status for 20 seconds, you can hear the alarm background sounds from
phone.
Input # to play the recorded voice message for one time.
Input *, the host will end the call and stop dialing any auto dialer #.
Directly hang off the telephone, the host will end the call and automatically dial the next auto dialer #.
SMS reporting:
During an alarm event, your mobile phone will receive SMS in a format System Alarming XX,
YYYY, XX means zone number, YYYY means the detailed sensor.
If the upload status has been enabled together with a mobile number set in the 1st call center
number, then you can receive system information such as arm, disarm, alarm or AC failure.
Call the phone number associated to the system, you will hear one bi sound
after connecting to the system, within 30 seconds after connection, enter the
setup password of the host. Then enter 1 after another bi sound, the host will
automatically hang up after the bi sound to complete the operation.
NOTE: You can set Armed Away remotely by phone, but note
that you cant set Armed Home in this way.

Arm by SMS:
Call the phone number associated to the system, you will hear one bi sound
after connecting to the system, within 30 seconds after connection, enter the
setup password of the host. Then enter 0 after another bi sound, the host will
automatically hang up after the bi sound to complete the operation.
You can send the SMS message XXXXXXBF from your mobile phone to the main host.
XXXXXX is your 6 digits password. The main host will arm automatically when receiving
this SMS. It will then reply with a message System Armed.
NOTE: Arm by SMS only has Armed Away option!
Disarm by SMS:
You can send the SMS message XXXXXXCF from your mobile phone to the main host.
XXXXXX is your 6 digits password. The main host will disarm automatically when receiving
this SMS. It will then reply with a message System Disarmed.
NOTE: If you input the codes 3 times incorrectly, the host will return back to the
standby mode automatically.
