CONSTRUCTION QCPROCEDURE-CIVIL

4.1 RESPONSIBILITIES
The LSTK contractor shall submit Construction Quality Control procedure indicating
its responsibilities, methodology, and implementation and monitoring of its quality
performance, the Quality Assurance being implemented within the Quality
Management System and demonstrated as needed to provide adequate
confidence that an entity will fulfill its requirements for quality conforming to contract
specifications. LSTK contractor shall inspect all equipment, materials and
construction work at various stages of execution of Project as per approved
Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Certification by PMC/OWNER at any stage shall not
relieve LSTK contractor of his responsibility for the quality of the product.
5.0 INSPECTION PROCEDURE
5.1 INSPECTION AND TEST PLAN (ITP)
Items subject to Field Inspection shall be as per the Inspection Test Plan (ITP)
List which shall contain a minimum of the following data and information.
a) Applicable code or standard Owner/PMC or LSTK contractors Engineering
specification.
b) Responsible parties for inspection or witnessing.
c) Inspection and witness points identified to construction activity.
d) Grade of Inspection.
e) Standard Inspection Report form identification.
f) Inspection activity in sequence.
The ITP shall be developed by LSTK contractor prior to commencement of
construction activity.
The ITP forming the part of this document are indicative and the LSTK contractor
shall develop his own ITPs as per the contract conditions and submit.

5.4 QUALITY AUDIT BY PMC
PMC shall carry out Quality Audit on half yearly basis or part thereof if in the
opinion of PMC, the quality of works do not meet the specification requirement.
Such Audit shall be carried out by PMC representative not connected with the
project and Audit observations shall be issued to LSTK CONTRACTOR for
compliances. LSTK CONTRACTOR to submit his compliance report which shall
then be submitted to OWNER after verification by PMC.
All tests shall be carried out only in NABL accredited laboratories.
5.5 INSPECTION NOTIFICATION
Grade A = Status of inspection which includes all the party for
inspection viz. OWNER, PMC and LSTK contractor
respectively
Grade B = Status of inspection where it is Random inspection by
OWNER and mandatory inspection by PMC and LSTK
contractor
