Event Leaders Instructions


Participants take part in a game of chance using apack
of cards and some prepared safety questions.
If we take risks with safety at work or at home we are
playing a game of chance. Sometimes we are lucky
andthere are no consequences, sometimes we are not
solucky but are able to avoid the worst consequences...
but sometimes someone gets hurt.

Content required
The Leader explains that if you take unnecessary risks with
safety you are playing a game of chance, where someone
could get hurt, and explains that the game they will play
today works the same.

CAUTION

Instructions
Leader explains that he/she will deal one card to each
person. Once the cards are dealt each person will turn
their card over in turn. They have all taken a risk to take
part in a game of chance.
One player at a time reveals his card to the group

n If all players have a number card, the leader deals
another card to each player
n If a player reveals their card and it is a face card
(ace, king, queen or jack), the Leader asks them

game (they have taken a risk and managed to get
away without severe consequences)

ROAD SAFETY
Driver behaviour: (Hearts)
1. Youve been driving for a while and your eyes are heavy and
you tend to stare at the road in front of you, you are tired.
What should you do to help you get to your destination
safely?
A. Open the windows, cold air usually helps..and/ or take an
energy drink
B. Find a safe place to stop the vehicle and take a rest/nap for
1520 minutes.
C. Turn up the radio and sing to your favourite tunes to keep
you active.
