Course registration is done by online system


The detailed schedule will be confirmed later.
The final course list can be different from previous semesters, and it
will be confirmed early in February.
The course list will be available at the following website:

Some courses have limited seats, and thus the applicant may not
register all the courses s/he wants
The airport pick-up service is available only from August 26 to 27, 2014
(from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm only).
Students can enter the dormitory from August 26
(early check-in is not possible)

Along with the online application, the following documents should


be submitted to Ajou University
1. Official Transcript(On-line)
2. Nomination Letter(via email from home university coordinator)
3. Self-Introduction Essay(On-line)
4. Passport Copy(On-line)
5. Face Photo File(On-line/Size should be less than 200KB)
Admission package will be sent to the home university coordinator
Students should apply for VISA (D-2) after receiving the Certificate of
Admission and the Letter of Admission included in the admission
package

Housing
A. Types of housing at AJOU
- On-campus housing: 2 or 4-bed room at the dormitory
- Off-campus housing: a flat shared by 4-6 students. 8 min. on foot from the campus
- Students are placed at the off-campus housing only if the on-campus dormitory is
not available.
B. Application for housing
- The admitted students should read the information on housing application after they
receive an admission package.
- The admitted students will be placed either at on-campus or off-campus housing
depending on the housing situation of Ajou University.
- We do not accept Housing Application Form by email or fax. The application is
needed to submit via online.

How to register Online Application


1. Please fill out your Name, and Date of Birth and E-mail address and Click Enter.

Choose Partner/Non-partner and the semester in which you are planning to study at Ajou AND

type year 2014.

Please fill out your personal information, and Click Find Photos and upload your picture. This picture will be used for student ID card.
Please use a proper picture such as a picture used in making a passport.

For Emergency Contact; Your Family, Friend or Your Home University coordinator could be ok.

Fill out Academic Information of your home University.

If you are a fee-paying individual applicant, just type your name and other contact information. Students from partner universities must type in their
home university coordinators information.

Please upload your Self-introduction, Passport copy, and Transcript.

Choose your answers for following 3 questions.

Click Save first and then click Submit Application to complete your online application.

Applicants must apply online and submit requested materials by April 15th.

Exchange Student
Students of Ajou's partner universities who plan to attend AISS as an exchange student should be approved and nominated as an exchange student by their
home university international officer who is responsible for the exchange program with Ajou University before submitting their online application.
Students' home university coordinators then need to send their official nomination results to Ajou University via email by April 1, using the AISS nomination form

which Ajou University provided to its partner universities. The AISS nomination form should be sent to Ajou University by the student's home university
coordinator, and NOT by the student applying for AISS.
Please note that without the official AISS nomination results given to Ajou University by the applicant's home university coordinator, students of Ajou's partner
universities will be considered as a non-exchange student from Ajou's partner universities, and they have to pay 50 % of the tuition fees.
Fee-Paying Student
Full fee-paying individual applicants or non-exchange students from partner institutions can apply online independently. After your application is reviewed, you
will receive an email from Ajou University about the decision on your admission to AISS.
Required Materials to Complete Your Application
During the online application process, students will be asked to upload the following materials:
1. Photo File
- Please attach a picture of your face in the jpg format. This is to issue an ID card.
2. Self-Introduction Essay (Click here for the essay form
) (located in the middle of the page)
3. Copy of Passport
- If you don't have a passport at the time of applying for AISS, you can skip this part. But you must email the copy of your passport immediately after you have
it. (send an email to: iss@ajou.ac.kr)
4. Transcript (written in English)
- Please scan the official university/college transcript and upload it.
Please note that before you submit all the requested materials, your application will not be reviewed.
Admission Letter and Package
Those students who are admitted to AISS will receive an official admission letter and package from Ajou in early May.
Students are advised to check their email regularly for any announcement or information given by AISS.
