CIRCULAR
Aamantran - Referral Scheme for Talent Acquisition

Consequent to the restructuring of grades and the need expressed by OD's, the
Aamantran Scheme is revised as follows:
1) The scheme is applicable only for lateral recruits, having minimum one to two years
work experience.
2) Coverage for the purpose of incentive:
a. All L&T employees in JS Cadre and above are eligible.
b. All trainees with the Company who have been assigned PS number, and
individuals rendering service through FTC,are eligible.
c. All employees, who have retired from L&T in Supervisory and above cadres, are
eligible.
d. Excludes employees in any HR Department of L&T and also excludes employees
and ex-employees involved in L&T's recruitment activities.
3) Employees desirous of referring should e-mail the fully filled up Aamantran Data
Sheet (attached) and the candidates' CV to their respective HR Department. Consent of
the candidate must be taken before referring the CV to HR Department.
4) Vacancy reference, if any, against which CV has been referred, should be quoted in
all correspondence.
5) The incentive amount is as follows:

6) No incentive will be paid if, in the six months preceding the referral, the candidate:

a.
b.
c.
d.

had directly responded to L &T's requirement, or


had been referred by a recruitment agency, or
had sent application / CV to L&T requesting for a suitable placement, or
had left the Company.

7) In case the same CV is received from more than one employee, the date and time of
the receipt of the referral along with complete data will be the deciding factor.
8) After the candidate has joined L&T, the HR Department will convey this to the
referring employee and also intimate to him of the due date of payment. The incentive
payment will be due after the referred candidate has successfully completed three
months of service within the company.
9) The payment will be made only if the referring employee and the referred candidate
have not submitted their resignation nor have they separated from the company, at the
time of incentive payment.
10) The concerned HR Department will intimate the Accounts Department for payment
of the incentive.
11) In no way should the employee referring the candidate be a part of his/her selection
procedure.
12) The scheme is applicable with immediate effect. It can be amended/withdrawn at
any time at the discretion of the Management.
