COMMUNITY SERVICE:

This week, I met with the Cloquet Ministerial

Alliance and spent some time covering topics
concerning our work together and how we can
better utilize the resources that they offer.

PATROL/DETECTIVES:
This week, two of our staff attended the TZD
(Towards Zero Deaths) Conference in Duluth
where they obtained training and networked to
get a better handle on tactics and updates related
to traffic safety.
We received our second radar speed sign this
week and it has been passed along to Les
Peterson and his staff for installation. The plan
is to install the sign (identical to the one on
North Road and on 14th Street) on northbound
Highway 33 between the bridge and the hospital
entrance. The hope is that the device will slow
the traffic approaching this busy intersection and
in preparation for future traffic increases at
North Road as a result of the Kwik Trip
opening.
