JEE-Main Exam has two papers, Paper-1


and Paper-2. Candidates may opt for either
or both of them.
Paper-1 is for admission in B.Tech, B.E,
B.Com, B.Sc (online and offline)
Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and
B.Planning (offline only)

It is an offline (pen and paper based)


examination. There will be two separate
objective type (Multiple Choice Question)
papers, namely Paper-1 and Paper-2, each
having separate parts of Physics, Chemistry

CPT is divided into two sessions of two


hours each. In the first session there are two
sections: Section A Fundamentals of
Accounting carrying 60 marks and Section
B Mercantile laws carrying 40 marks. In
the second session there are two sections:
Section C General Economics carrying 50
marks and Section D Quantitative
Aptitude also carrying 50 marks.
A minimum of 50 percent marks in
aggregate is required for a candidate in order
to be declared as pass in CPT exam. It is to
be noted that there is no requirement of
securing minimum marks in any
subject/section in CPT, but appearance in
both sessions of CPT is mandatory.
For each correct answer, the students will be
awarded 1 mark and for each wrong answer
students lose 0.25 mark.

The Chartered accountancy CA program is of two years


duration. It comprises three main stages Foundation,
Intermediate and Final. To clear each one of them, a
student has to take the following exams - Common
Proficiency Test (CPT), Integrated Professional
Competence Course (IPCC) and the Professional
Competency Examination also called as the Final
examination. CPT is the entry level test for Chartered
Accountancy course. It is held twice every year,
normally in the months of June and December. But
with effect from 3rd Aug 2012, CPT is exempted for the
Graduates, Post Graduates and the students having
