ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

TARGET AUDIENCE

Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU), named

after the famous Tamil Scholar Professor P. Sundaram
Pillai, was established on 7 September, 1990. The campus
is situated in a land area of 546.98 acres at Abishekapatti
on the outskirts of Tirunelveli, 4 kms. from the municipal
limits on the Tirunelveli-Tenkasi highway. The University
is having 27 departments and is offering Graduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D (Full time and Part time)
programmes.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development launched

in December, 2002 the Technical Education Quality
Improvement Programme of Government of India
(TEQIP) which aims to improve and support quality of
technical education. The Programme was designed to be
implemented in 3 phases to support transformation in
Technical Education in the country. TEQIP
Implementation at the National and State level are
maintained by National Project Implementation Unit
(NPIU) and State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU).
Based on the achievements made during TEQIP Phase-I,
TEQIP Phase-II is implemented. Manonmaniam
Sundaranar University, GCE Salem, GCE Bargur, GCT
Coimbatore and ACCET Karikudi are selected to receive
funds under TEQIP-II in Tamilnadu.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering
(Computer Science) was started in the year 1990.With a
dedicated body of well qualified faculty and technical
staff the department is in the pursuit of excellence. The
Department offers M.C.A, M.E CSE, M.E Applied
Electronics (Full time), M.Phil Computer Science (Full
Time) and Ph.D (Full time and Part time). The department
is getting funds from SAP, FIST, DST and TEQIP-II.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Advanced typesetting of mathematics with
AMS LaTeX.
Control over large documents containing
Sections, Tables, and Figures.
Automatic generation of bibliographies and
Indexes.
Multi lingual type setting.
Inclusion of art work and process or spot
Color.
Using Post Script or Meta fonts.
Journal Paper (IEEE, Springer ), Ph.D thesis
Writing Demo.

form (Photocopy is also acceptable) along with DD to
