Kind Greetings ACCSC Executive Director:
The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (hereinafter, ACCSC or the
Commission) is being contacted in writing per the procedures established for registering a formal
complaint against an institution that is accredited by the Commission. I, Queen Algi Tye
Searles (hereinafter, Student/Complainant), state that one of your acclaimed and accredited
universities is substantially out of compliance with having an effective procedure and operational
plan for handling student complaints. I was unduly harassed by an instructor and expelled from
the university after maintaining a 3.9 GPA and only two courses prior to graduation. I hereby
submit this formal complaint regarding:
1. The unethical pedagogical practices of the following Full Sail University (FSO)
Entertainment Business Masters of Science (EBMS) faculty and/or administrators:
a. Kristin Stewart, Digital Marketing instructor,
b. Kimberly Craft, EBMS Department Chair
c. Ronald Cook, EBMS Course Director
d. Sean Donovan, Online Advising Manager/Academic Success
2. The Following FSO EBMS Administrators:
a. Kimberly Craft, EBMS Department Chair
b. Ronald Cook, EBMS Course Director
c. Sean Donovan, Online Advising Manager/Academic Success
d. Jon Craig, Director of Academic Success
For supporting faculty member, Kristin Stewarts:
i. Point pilfering;
ii. Ineffective teaching methodologies
iii. Retaliatory grading practices; as well as,
iv. Failing to address specific Student Concerns relative to a faculty members
abuse of their position and mean-spiritedness toward Student;
v. Neglecting to provide accessible instructors who inspire students with
current knowledgecreate exceptional professional product, for the EBMS
Digital Marketing course, and for;

vi. Ultimately expelling Student from the EBMS Program and FSO, without
reasonable justification or refund.
3. The FSO University Executive Leadership Team, including but not limited to the
following individuals:
a. Jon Craig, Director of Academic Success
b. Pat Bishop, Director of Graduate Program
c. Debbie Mills, Director of Student Affairs
d. Luis Garcia, Vice President, Full Sail Online
e. Dave Franko, Vice President, Academic Success
f. Christopher Marconi, Executive Vice President
g. Geoff Rogers, Executive Vice President
h. Garry Jones, President
For failure to:
i. Prevent FSO EBMS administrators from wrongfully expelling Complainant
from the University without just cause;
ii. Effectively oversee that Full Sail Universitys fiduciary duty, to deliver a real
world educational experience that is engaging and exceptional is in operation
and is substantially adhered to;
iii. Conduct a prudent investigation of Student Concerns regarding the unethical
pedagogical practices of Full Sail University Instructor, Kristin Stewart and
the aforementioned EBMS administrators;
iv. Protect Student from the unfair retaliatory grading practices of Kristin
Stewart;
v. Protect Student from the absurd actions of EBMS administrators that condone,
excuse and support Stewarts grade badgering and other unprofessional acts
vi. Prevent Full Sail University from engaging in harassing billing practices for
services not rendered.
The Basis of this complaint arises out of Full Sail University faculty member, Kristin
Stewarts actions including but not limited to the following:
A. March 10, 2014- Removing Students post from a Student Study Lounge and
replacing it with her own post next to Students photo (see Doc 1-C).
B. March 12, 2014 Stewarts Subjective grading practices unsupported with facts
(see Doc 1-H);
C. March 11, 2014 Unwarranted mean-spiritedness during live online GoTo Training
(see Docs 1-A to 1-G), these are screen shots of conversations with FSO EBMS
instructor;
D. Persistent grade harassment and intimidation:

i) Resulted in Student taking a compulsory leave to resolve the issues and


recover from the undue stress;
ii) Continued notwithstanding a teleconference meeting with FSO instructor &
EBMS Administrators regarding the initial Student Concern, wherein a verbal
agreement to move forward with integrity was established;
iii) Said verbal agreement was violated with the grading of Students first week
assignments upon returning to class with the same instructor in May 2014.
In support of the allegations herein, Complainant submits:
I.
March 31, 2014- Documents 1-A 1-J Student Concern Form (also at
https://www.scribd.com/doc/240952240/DOC-1-a-J-EBMS-Student-Concerns) the

required Form, created by EBMS Course Director, Ronald Cook. This


mandatory EBMS form details the first incidences of grade pilfering, and
was necessary to initiate a complaint against an instructor. The Document was
sent to the EBMS Department Chair, as well as, to the Program Director, via
electronic mail on Monday March 31, 2014;
II. March 2, 2014- Document 1-K (https://www.scribd.com/doc/241911367/1-KCommunity-Bd-Student-Lounge-Posts) Student Study Lounge Post that was
removed by FSO instructor and replaced with her own post, notwithstanding
that this is a non-graded, non-mandatory student activity;
III. May 14, 2014 Stewart posted an unfair grade deducting points for Students
use of the word contention and sentence structure (Doc 6-A

IV. May 15, 2014 Student Email Response to point deduction for word choice &
sentence structure (DOC 6-A);
V. May 15, 2014 Stewarts Explanation for deducting a point for word choice
defies logic and she threatens to lower Students grade (DOC 6-A); Compare

VI. May15, 2014 Student Response admonishing Stewart to refrain from playing
Dirty Tricks and further advising that the grade was not calculated based on
the rubric, i.e. Initial post is 80% and the Response Post is 20% of the grade

IX. May 19, 2014 at 11:02 AM, 11:46 am & 3:32 PM, shortly after Online
Manager, Donovan delivered an email at 9:46 AM, affirming leaderships
support of FSO Instructors unfair and retaliatory grading practices

a) Instructor made a 10 point deduction for an assignment that Student
submitted 32 minutes after the online deadline via email due to
complications with the newly implemented FSO Platform;
b) Instructor arbitrarily and capriciously gave Student a C+ on Students
Week 1 Blog post (DOCs 12-A

c) FSO Instructors actions were made being fully apprised of flaws and
other complications within the new FSO platform, including but not
limited to the following:
The Digital Marketing template for completing the Digital
Marketing Canvas assignment did not save Students workStudent
had to recreate the assignment three times
(i) Screenshots showing the times Students works were created
saved, recreated and saved again and again(DOCS 11-A

(ii) The final time Student created the assignment, using the template,
the document began scrolling on its own accord, Student had no
control over the mouse, Students work scrolled up the screen
vanishingthen everything was gone, right before Students eyes;
(iii) FSO Support stated that there is no way to recover Students
Devoured/Vanished original works;
(iv) Instructor failed to effectively explain how to use the Marketing
Canvas Template; After contacting FSO Support, as is required by
EBMS when assignments are delayed due to technical
complications, Student promptly forwarded the Digital Marketing
Canvas Assignment via email to Instructor on May 19, 2014 12:31

X. Students Notice to FSO Instructor of intent to escalate (DOC 14

Basis is further established by the actions and/or inactions of:
E. Full Sail University EBMS Administrators
i) Support of faculty member, Kristin Stewarts point pilfering, retaliatory
grading practices and ineffective teaching methodologies; as well as for
ii) Failing to conduct a prudent investigation into valid Student Concerns;
iii) Withdrawing Student from the University without a due process hearing;
In support of these allegations, Complainant submits:
1) April 1, 2014- From Kimberly Craft, J.D., EBMS Chairs response, it appears
as though misunderstood Students Concerns (see DOCs 2- Crafts response

2) April 15, 2014 Students Reply to Ms. Craft

3) April 17, 2014 Ronald Cook, Program Director, EBMS Response to Students
Reply, wherein Director used administrative and personal evaluations to
invalidate Student concerns and states that he and Chair would have done the

6) May 15, 2014 Student informed Sean Donovan, Online Advising Manager, of
continued grade pilfering by Stewart, incorrect grade computations based on
Discussion Post Rubric, complained of Stewarts nitpicking and failure to
grade assignments timely Student demanded an investigation Documents

7) May 16, 2014 Student forwarded Instructors correspondence to Sean


Donovan and the Executive Leadership team informing them that Stewarts
tactics are vexatious and impeding Students ability to remain focused on

(i) May 16, 2014 email from Online Manager, Donovan complimenting
Instructors comments, evading the issues of grade pilfering and upholding
iniquitous EBMS Grading Policies & Practices, stating that they were

(ii) May 18, 2014 email to Sean Donovan and the Executive Management
team addressing Donovans response, redirecting his thoughts to the
seriousness of the facts and requesting that FSO officials exercise ethics in

8) May 19, 2014 9:46 AM Email from Online Manager, Donovan emphatically
prevaricating stating, I like for this to be clear: you did not lose any points for
using the word contention he further stated that the grade was accurate
and will not be changed, thereby giving FSO Instructor a green light to
continue with her arbitrary and retaliatory grading practices (DOC 10-A

Department Chairs offer is not acceptable as it represents more biased

Student to continue with an administration who has agreed with previous

that Ms. Stewart has agreed to take off only partial late deduction

technicalities coupled with the inundation of unnecessary communications
regarding grade pilfering;
ii) Remains silent to the devastating capricious grading per (DOCs 12-A
Instructors narrative response & 12-B Instructors arbitrarily graded
Rubric posted for Students Week 1 Blog Post at

13) June 4, 2014 (Doc. 18 https://www.scribd.com/doc/240952218/Doc-18-MgrAssumptions) FSO EBMS Online Advising Managers email proceeding as if
prior communications regarding grade malfeasance relative to Digital
Marketing never occurred
i) Feigns to believe that Student would continue with course work without
full clarification as to the universitys position on Students conversation
with the Director of Academic Success regarding an incomplete in Digital
Marketing to allow FSO time to employ an honorable instructor to teach
Digital Marketingwhile student completed the last two courses in the
EBMS Program;
ii) Kim Craft offered her services (Document 15), which student respectfully
declined (Doc. 16);
iii) Insinuates that discussions with Director of Academic Success are moot,
stating, You may want to reach outto see if your grade is salvageable.
Additionally, the Actions and/or Inactions of FSO Executive Leadership team establishes
basis as Follows:
F. Full Sail University Executive Leadership Team failed to effectively oversee
operations within the EBMS Department (DOC 3 3C , DOC 9-A & 9-B,

To date, Debbie Mills has not responded, nor has any other member of the
