Availability of the UniCoatPro Plasma controller core package

New product Release

Oerlikon Metco is pleased to announce the availability of the UniCoatPro plasma controller.

The UniCoatPro Plasma controller is a compact single process plasma controller featuring a large and intuitive color
touchscreen interface. Please refer to the [product datasheet] for more detailed information on features and options.
Available for quotation immediately the UniCoatPro Plasma will be available only as a core package consisting of:
UniCoatPro Plasma controller
Power supply
JAMBox
Spray gun
Twin-140 powder feeder for fully integrated feeder capability (other feeders with feed start/stop only)
The Systems group will independently manage customer needs for:

Booth (cabin) selections

Gun manipulation
Part handling interfaces
Dust/fume extraction
Water cooling equipment

UniCoatPro Plasma will not immediately be available as a standalone component.

Sales process

FAQs

Can a customer use their existing power supply?

With the exception of most TriStar power supplies the answer at date of publication is no. UniCoatPro Plasma uses
a signal directly from the power supply to measure voltage. Previously voltage measurements were made at the distribution unit (9MCD) or JAM Box. The equipment group is looking at designing interfaces to support some earlier
and competitor power supplies.

Can I use other Metco and non-Metco plasma guns?

Currently only the SinplexPro, F4 series and 9MB series (3MB&7MB can also be used with this selection) are selectable from the gun menu. Other guns such as the 8MB, iPro-90, F1, F100, F210 and F300 will be added to the
gun database once they are fully validated. Some competitor guns such as the SG-100 from Praxair may be added if
there is sufficient customer demand.

Can the UniCoatPro Plasma run TriplexPro?

No. UniCoatPro Plasma only supports single electrode guns.

Will EvoLink be available for the UniCoatPro Plasma controller?

No. Evolink as a concept is currently not being considered for integration into the UniCoatPro Plasma controller.
