CATHERINE
AND THE
OWL

Everything started in a little townJacksonville. A family arrived to a

little house in which everything was kind of old and abandoned; the
family was conformed by a little girl and her parents. They didnt know
who the owner was, but they feel comfortable, but there was something in
there, that makes the house special and different.
Each member of the family had a defect. Catherines dad was kind of
embittered because of all the thing he passed through life since he was a
kid, so all the time he was angry and everything was disgusting for him,
anything had sense; Catherines mother didnt take care of anything,
she was always doing unproductive things, etc.
Because of this situation, Catherine was so worried about them, although
they didnt take care of her as it should be, she wanted to help them,
because the problem was that no one tried to correct it. So something
incredible started to happen the next day.

In the morning the family was taking breakfast, after eating, dad began
to shout to Catherines mother without any sense, both were fighting,
the only thing the little girl could do, was to listen, but she listened
a strange noise coming from the basement.
She ran to see what happened while her parents were fighting, she said:
-Hello, is anyone here?
But no one answer, she insisted and she saw something unexpected,-Oh
God! She saw an owl, she was really scared, but the owl told her he had
the solution to all her familys problems because she found him again,
after many years from being in the basement.
She said she was really surprised to receive help from an animal, to
solve her familys problems, the owl told her:
-First, show me a photography of your parents,please.
She accepted and did it.

The owl told her that she was going to have a wish, but that she had to
decide correctly, if she wished something that wouldnt be so helpful,
the wish will be granted, but future would not change as she wanted.
So Catherine started thinking in the correctly decision, she had to
imagine what she could do to make that his parents change their
attitudes, but she was trying to avoid asking in a way that the wish
couldnt help her at all.

So she decided to ask the owl a possible solution, he began to tell her
stories in which other people have the same problem, he also told her
some of the solutions they thought for solving their situations.

The owl told her that she couldnt have the same wish as other kid had.
She had to said something similar but not the same.
So Catherine was so desperate about what she was going to do, so she
decided to go and asked native people from Jacksonville about the owl and
the similar situations others had as her. People told her they knew the
story of this animal, but only few people had seen the owl.
So she needed to found that people, who had experienced the same
situation as her and ask them about the owl, but that was difficult
because she didnt know who were the ones that saw this animal. So, she
started asking everyone that passed in the town.

She didnt find someone who had passed through the same situation, so,
she felt sad and desperate, because she didnt know what she could wish.
In that moment, a boy got closer to her and told her:
- I listened your story, and also, some months ago I had the same
problems, so maybe I can help you.

At that moment, the owl appeared and told her that the time for telling
him the wish was running and she asked the boy for help, but when she
turned back to asked him, the boy disappeared, she didnt know what
happened. She started fading down.
The next day, she woke up, she felt different, she felt as something
changed her inside.
She remembered that the time was running, and she had to take a decision
as soon as she could, if not, everything would stay the same, and all
this time would be in vain.
She ran to the basement where the owl was, and she told him:
-I have a final decision about my parents situation!
-And, whats your wish, little girl?- the owl said.
Catherine was feeling nervous because of what was going to happen next.
She took a breath and said:
-Well, I thought all this time and I wish my dad forgets everything that
marked his life, so I think this would make him forget the things that
made him be like this; and about my mom, I wish she had all the time for
me, well, she can enjoy free time but not that much that she neglect her
chores. I want them to spend most of the time with me, as a real family,
not listening to silly discussions or watching any productive thing, what
I want, is a real family.
-Okay, your wish is granted, go with your parents and see the result of
what you said. The owl said.
Catherine ran with her parents and firstable, she didnt notice any
change, her dad was still angry and her mother was looking for any
productive things, she worried about it, but minutes after, everything
changed as anything had happened before.
Catherine was grateful and really happy because she could enjoy her
family as anyone could do.

The owl legend is still alive, and its strange because every person
that goes to that little house in Jacksonville are helped by the owl, so
it means, special people go there, nobody knows if its the destiny, but
people are selected to see this animal.
