Summary
Mr. VerSluis holds a B.S. in Industrial and Environmental Health Management from Ferris
State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. His extensive experience with several environmental
engineering and consulting firms led Mr. VerSluis to establish Sierra Consultants in 1993. The
company became a recognized leader in the environmental field. Services include the
assessment, investigation, and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, regulatory
permitting, and the evaluation, operation, and maintenance of small to medium scale water
and wastewater treatment systems.

In addition, Mr. VerSluis has, from time to time, pioneered the application of unconventional or
innovative technologies to solve business and environmental problems which were beyond
the scope of “traditional” environmental consulting. His involvement with biodiesel
development, environmentally friendly mosquito control methods, and microbial enhanced
crude oil recovery are examples of this propensity to “think – and act - outside the box”.

Mr. VerSluis specializes in the development of smart environmental strategies for Sierra’s
clients. He has evaluated environmental risks for thousands of real estate transfers, often
involving complex technical issues and liability concerns. This experience has proven
valuable in response to ever-changing regulatory requirements. His clients also benefit from
his expertise in troubleshooting water and wastewater treatment systems.

Technical competencies aside, Mr. VerSluis' most valuable asset is probably the ability to
envision what a system or organization “could be”, then identify opportunities for improvement
and profit. Once those opportunities are identified, Mr. VerSluis has the “knack” for
communicating strategies and goals to others in a way that fosters buy-in. When combined
