Course Description

This course introduces students to the theory and principles


of circuit analysis in single and three phase systems,
magnetically coupled coil and two port networks. It also
provides students with a comprehensive treatment of circuit
analysis in the frequency domain.

Course Objectives

1. To apply circuit analysis methods in single-phase and threephase AC systems.


2. To analyse circuits with magnetically coupled coils and twoport networks
3. To provide an understanding of concepts in frequency
response
4. To provide an understanding of the theorems, laws and
application of Laplace transform.
