Below are times and dates that Cabinet ministers will be taking calls from the public in line with
the arrangement made by the President to enable the public to call the ministers when in need:
Acting Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Shaw Kgathi will
receive telephone calls in his office on Wednesdays between 5pm and 6pm at 395 0843
starting on July 9.
Minister for Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Mr Tshekedi Khama will receive
telephone calls on Mondays between 5pm and 6pm at 364 7902.
Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Mr Kenneth Matambo will receive calls
on Thursdays between 10am and 1pm at 395 0373 commencing on Thursday, July 10.
Minister of Health, Dr John Seakgosing will take calls on Mondays between 11am and
12 pm at 369 8301
Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, will receive telephone calls on
Fridays between 2pm and 3pm at 365 8797, commencing on July 11

The Government of Botswana has approved the adjustment of Minimum Wage Rates for 2014/2015.The new
adjustments will take effect from 1st June 2014 and are as follows:
Building, Construction, Exploration &Quarry industries P 4.86 per hour
Wholesale Distributive Trade P 4.86 per hour
Manufacturing, Service and Repair Trade P 4.86 per hour
Hotel, catering and Entertainment Trades P 4.86 per hour
Garage, Motor Trade and Road Transport P 4.86 per hour
Retail Distributive Trade P 4.32 per hour
Watchmen employed in the above Industries and Trade or any sector thereof P 4.10 per hour
Security Guards employed by security companies P 4.86 per hour
Domestic Service Sector P 2.70 per hour
Agricultural Sector P550 per month
consistent with EVD should not be allowed to travel unless the travel is part of an appropriate medical evacuation.
There should be no international travel of Ebola contacts or cases, unless the travel is part of an appropriate medical
evacuation
Non-affected countries need to strengthen the capacity to detect and immediately contain new cases, while avoiding
measures that will create unnecessary interference with international travel or trade.
WHO does not recommend any ban on international travel or trade, in accordance with advice from the WHO Ebola
Emergency Committee.
Travel restrictions and active screening of passengers on arrival at sea ports, airports or ground crossings in nonaffected countries that do not share borders with affected countries are not currently recommended by WHO.
Worldwide, countries should provide their citizens traveling to Ebola-affected countries with accurate and relevant
information on the Ebola outbreak and measures to reduce the risk of exposure.
