Our internet banking (onlinesbi) is being progressively used by our customers and is
becoming a prominent and inexpensive alternate channel. At present 10.64% of the
total CBS transactions (both financial and non financial) are done through INB. While
the number of retail INB users and transactions are steadily increasing, we have to
grow at a faster pace to decongest the branches, reduce transaction costs and increase
our market share. To motivate the Circles, Networks, Regions and Branches and also to
help them achieving their budgets in internet banking, the Bank has decided to launch a
campaign named Sankalp for the current financial year.
2. The Bank has also launched a generic e-payment module i-collect, which provides
facility for online collection of funds of firms/corporate/institutions. The product offers a
good opportunity for increasing CASA deposits of the bank besides increasing INB
usage. For FY 2011-12, a target of adding at least 5 customers every quarter under icollect has been given to each Circle. Therefore, it has been decided to include icollect registration also in the campaign at the Circle and Network levels.
3. The salient features of the proposed campaign are as under:
Objectives:
- To increase the number of RINB users.
- To increase the number of i-collect registrations and transactions.
- To migrate the customers to Internet Banking Platform.
- To enable the customers to do their transactions themselves.
- To decongest the Branches.
- To free our staff member from doing routine work.
Campaign Duration:
- The campaign would be effective till 31/03/2012.
Target Customers:
The participating branches will primarily target the following:
- Existing customers who hold savings and current account but do not have RINB
facility.
- New SB / CA customer.
- Schools, colleges, municipalities andother eligible institutions for i-collect
registrations.
Threshold Target:
- The quarterly thresholds for new registration in respect of Circles, Networks and
Regions are as under:
