1.0 The responsibilities of the project manager
The project manager is different as the project management function as well as
their responsibilities in the different scope of the task. The project manager is covered
the wider responsibilities compare to the project management. That mean, the project
manager involve 100% on the every parts of the project that been covered. So that,
there are several responsibilities that been listed out as shortly as well as will be
discussed further as below.
Firstly, the responsibility of the project manager is as the organizational
planning and decision making for the project activities. As long as they were
responsible to the whole parts of the project activities, they responsible to planning
the activities that will be running in the project such the budget, task, time frame, cost,
and team member that assigned on the task. In all of that, the project manager will be
act as a decision making as well as the project manager of the activities. Well
planning will result to successful project done, as long as the decision making are
planned well through the discussion among of the project member as well as the
project manager headed on the activities instead. Planning and decision making
included the organizations long term objective and strategies plan.
Secondly, it is essential for the project manager to be fully understood on what
actually purpose of the project. Whenever the project manager understand, they could
be find out what should they do for the project success in future. They could be able
in ensuring the project running smoothly as well as the management and task
responsibilities were given to the team member to assign for the task given. Besides
that, if the project manager will be understand on what make business operating for,
so then he or she can easily give command for their subordinates as well.
Last but not least, to ensuring the project shows some of development and
improvement instead of its successful projects, the projects budget, schedule, and
scope, awareness of the strategic side of organization need to be well manage by the
project manager. This because, its covered the important parts as the whole pictures
of the project activities whereby leading the project into the excellent performance in
return as well as gain more benefits.

2.0 The skills needed to successfully manage projects and ways to develop project
manager competence
Skills are really essential for excellent performance especially when its
dealing with neither the mega-project nor the people that work for the upper
management. Skills not only considering on the ability of the knowledge but also as
practically especially when dealing with the different character of human being. Its
same with the skills whereby needed to successfully manage projects and ways to
develop project competence as well. This will be going discussed further as below.
Firstly, to being manage project and ways to develop project manager
competence, the project manager must to able understand everything about the project
activities that will be done such able to review the document, able to identify their
competitors, able to read the document, has the basic accounting and has the basic
management. By having these skills, the project manager will be able to do planning
and giving instruction as well as the person that will be gives commands for the
overall the project activities.
Secondly, instead having that ability to understand things surround them, the
project manager also essential to have the communication skills as well as its
important to be communicating with the consumer as well as their stakeholder and the
suppliers and their upper management. Without this kind of skills such
communication skills, the project manager could not be able to giving the information
to the relating people on the project activities. This will be cause the
misunderstanding and could be effect to the purpose, objective and goals of the
project where it could not be accomplished.
Last but not least, the project manager also must to have the kind of skills such
know on how to do budget, schedule and scope as well. Through on that, the project
manager could be able to manage the well the project whereby the activities of the
project could be balance on activates and the overall cost that been spending on the
project. In addition, the effectiveness of the time to finish the project will be more
efficient if the project manager know to schedule the activities of the project well.

3.0 Approaches to effective delegation


Delegation is the given task that will be completed by the person whos
responsible to finish the task. In the project manager approaches, delegation can be
made whether informal or formal ways. Delegation is also can be seen as the
discussion in continuously by given task through one person to another. Basically,
delegation also happen in the project manager in accomplished their task. By
delegating the responsibility to the one person which trusted to accomplish task, it
need a very qualified and experienced person as well as project manager. Once
delegation was made, the person will responsible to the whole project activities
including the every decision that the project manager chosen. In this case, the project
activities will be running smoothly as well as having a qualified and well-experienced
person in handling the project.
Besides that, trusted among the team member also makes delegation be
effective if its applied in accomplished the task given. Without trusty to each other,
then corporation also never be exist in the project activities. Team works need the
trust and corporation to each other in order to achieve the objective of the project
activities. Through on this, it makes every member of the people in the project will
support each other in order to completing the task given to them. There is no
redundancy of the task but the team members know what they do because trust has
given to them whereby they commit on the accountability in completing the task
instead.
Last but not least, the project manager also needs to monitor or supervise their
subordinates once the task was delegated to them. This is to ensuring the task
completed as following the requirement of the project objectives and goals. Besides
that, by monitoring their subordinates, it could be make the work done in efficient and
effectively whereby the subordinates could makes the work done in on time because
the way of the project manager supervise them in completing the task as well. Instead,
the work will be done in proper ways in which the subordinates were monitoring by
the project manager. This means, they working through the guidance of their project
manager.

4.0 How the project manager can manage and control changes to the project.
Project manager is not an easy task to be handled whereby its involving a
commitment to doing all things right especially when its come to be tough task. To
be a project manager that can manage and control changes to the project is the person
whos willing to learn and grow by learning from their surrounding included their
customer, stakeholder, suppliers, budgeting, planning and as well as their competitor.
Meaning to say here, the project manager understands the whole pictures of the
project whereby covered to all sides of the project activities.
By learning from the customer, the project manager can improve their service
or product through the complaint received from the mistakes that they done. Looking
on the demand and supply of the project service or product goods to their customer,
the project manager should to understand what the customer want through understand
the flow of the customer interest within the project activities. In this case, the project
activities can meet the customer demand and interest. In addition, the project manager
can gain the customer satisfaction level if they provide the good product or services
instead their objective and goals of the project will be accomplished.
If the project manager can understand their competitors so that, they can easily
planned and control all their activities that will be done on their project as well. They
also can learn on how the other competitors success on their project activities through
the observation or doing some analysis of the success project done by them. For
example, the Samsung Company learn from the Apple Company during the
popularities season of the Apple Company.
Last but not least, the budget also should to be well understand by the project
manager, so that, the project manager can manage the cost of the project and can
make the activities balance as the cost that been budgeting. In this case, when
budgeting was planned well, then the project manager can control the expenditure or
the project spending in order to avoid the deficit happen in the project activities.
