HAS GOD FORGOTTEN ME?
Philippians 1:12 But I would ye should
understand, brethren, that the things which
happened unto me have fallen out rather
unto the furtherance of the gospel;
Listen to the words of Job;
Job 23:14 For he performeth the
thing that is appointed for me: and
many are such things are with him.
Right now you are asking the reason why
you have gone through so much trials, lack,
pain. Perhaps its been a death in a family,
a divorce etc, and now you are asking
whether God has forgotten you? You might
even have resigned yourself to the fact that
your answer might NEVER come!
Paul the apostle writes that what he has
gone through has been for the furtherance
of the gospel. Your life is about being a
testimony to the grace and goodness of
God. Lets be honest telling the life stories
of biblical characters is great, but what will
be awesome to those who know you is
YOUR testimony!
Maybe you dont understand the reason
why you have to endure so many things
for so many years, BUT, hold steady,
stay in faith, and you will see the hand
of God move on your behalf.
Abraham is told he will be the father of
many nations, but somehow the evidence of
that is not seen for many years. Sarah as
well as Abraham is very old. How long must
they wait for the answer to their prayers
and to Gods word for them? Abraham
cannot wait for the answer and they decide
it can be done through Hagar.
Friends, whenever God is busy with
something, He remembers you because
you are engraved upon the palms of his
hands. You can never be forgotten!
Sometimes you are waiting so long for the
answer that you think that an alternative to
Gods word is ok! Abraham had to get back
with Sarah and because of that, they gave
birth to Isaac.
You must hold steady! God HAS NOT
forgotten you!
Hannah is married to Elkanah but unable to
bear any children. Her husband marries
another woman who gives him seven
children (?). Can you imagine how Hannah
must have felt? God has surely forgotten
her! But she stuck with her husband and we
read her account of calling on the lord. If
Hannah had walked out and given up on the
idea of a child, we would never have had
Samuel! Hannah was over 70 years old
when she gave birth to Samuel!
Isaiah 49:14 But Zion said, The Lord
hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath
forgotten me
Too many people are believing the lie of
the devil by saying what Zion has said.
But hear the Lords answer in verse 16;
Behold, I have graven thee upon the
palms of my hands;
2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all
things for the elects sakes, that they
may also obtain the salvation which is
in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly
rejoice, though now for a season, if
need be, ye are in heaviness through
manifold temptations: that the trial of
your faith, being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth, though it be
tried with fire, might be found unto
praise and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ
Well, there you have it! The purpose of
why we go through some things is so
that others may come to Christ and to
ensure that you stay in faith
