About 235 participants have participated in the survey exclusively from Jharkhand;
however the limitation of this sample is that it is from the group of people who are
users of internet.

The Take Away Points:

1. A Clean Sweep for BJP: The BJP blast is in full swing in the state. Among all the
participants, 71% have chosen BJP as the party they would vote for in the
upcoming Assembly elections. Going by this opinion, no other political party
stands a chance to get prominence, let alone throwing BJP a tough competition.
2. The Most Sought after CM: 25% of the participants have voted for Arjun Munda
who they believe would be the next Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The current CM,
Hemant Soren of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha lagged much behind with 17% vote. It
is interesting to note that Hemant Soren did not stand out in his second position
despite being the current CM as the option Any Other also got the same
percentage of vote which he did.
3. Deciding Factor: The two most pressing issues of corruption and development
together got 71% vote. The people of Jharkhand are united in the opinion that the
issues of corruption and development would be the deciding factor in the upcoming
Assembly election of the state. 37% of the respondents chose the issue of
corruption as the deciding factor while the issue of development became a close
second with 34% vote.
4. Modi Magic: Clearly Narendra Modi seems to have appeared as the messiah for
the people of Jharkhand. A whopping 86% strong crowd said that Modi will be the
winning factor for BJP in the forthcoming Assembly elections of Jharkhand.
