HUMAN CLONING

Animal cloning has been occurring for a number of years. Now, along with the
development of technology and science has led to a new innovation in finding the possibility
of human cloning. Human cloning is the creation of a genetically identical copy of an
existing, or previously existing, human being or growing cloned tissue from that individual.
There are always some pros and cons in everything, as well as in human cloning.
There are clear benefits of human cloning for human culture, particularly in medical
studies . Human cloning promises to cure many or all incurable disease. For an instance, in a
women who suffer a severe mitochondrial disease. She still can have a healthy baby by using
nuclear transfer cloning to avoid the disease which is carried in her egg cell. It also could help
to provide organs for the patient where there are often not enough donors to fulfill it. Beside
that, human cloning could be practiced to grow organs or repair damaged tissues by using
therapeutic cloning, which is being trained in the medical field today. Therapeutic cloning is
using stem cell system which has an ability to divide itself in a quick way (proliferation). The
last thing that human cloning could do in the medical field is to help them who want a child
but have infertile condition. They could have an embryo cloning implanted in her body which
is similar with in vitro fertilization.
Human cloning does not copy entire human existence. It still be individuals because
even that they have similarity, but they would have different character depends on their life
process.
However, many people view this issue as a worrying development. The impact of
human cloning is feared unsafe in physical and psychologically. Physically, human cloning
be able to increase the risk of cancer if there are errors when differentiate the cell.
Meanwhile, on psychology, human cloning will make "victim" lost their self-esteem as a
person when they find out that they are just a "guinea pigs".
It is also feared that human cloning messing with nature, especially in loss of gene
diversity. It will effect on the reduction of neutral gene mutations and discovery of new
viruses.
The most important part is human cloning treating human as an object. In the process of
cloning, humans do not have purpose, but rather as a laboratory tests in order to find
something new. It causes immorality because human cloning change the view of human
rights.
As good as a coin which has two differing sides, the pros and cons will always watch
the development of cloning technology. The decision about whether human cloning is good
or not depends on each perspective, but based on the data above can be deduced that human

cloning has positive side more especially in medical fields. All of the worrying issues can be
prevented if people use this technology in a wise way so there will not people who see human
cloning as the creation of the world by human.
