Across-the-Line starting is the most economical and most commonly used type of fire pump
controller. Full voltage is applied to the motor for starting, by use of a single motor contactor.
Starting inrush current is approximately 600% rated motor full load amperes. Across-the-Line
controllers are combined Manual and Automatic in NEMA Type 3R- Outdoor, raintight wall
mounting or floor mounting enclosure depending on Horsepower and Voltage. Controller
includes Start-Stop push buttons, Running Period Timer, and 0-600 PSI Pressure Control with
provisions for operation with deluge or dry-type systems. Automatic Stop may be provided by
activating the Running Period Timer via a programming setpoint. Sequential Starting Delay
may be activated via a programming setpoint. Includes new Week/Monthly Test & Solenoid.
