posted below. Feel free to access this in the Advisory posted on our website and at the Kencot Church
before the time of the Summit.
Also, in cases where a person at the local church serves more than one department as director, at the
Leaders Summit such person must not unnecessarily plan to move from department to department,
skipping from one to another, getting a little here and there, but plan to attend only one meeting and
properly arrange for local departmental assistant(s) to attend the other(s).

(11) Notice From

The Communication, Public Affairs and Religious Liberty

Departments
Dear Team Members,
Please be aware that Leaders' Summit this year will take place on December 7, 2014 at
the Kencot SDA Church and it will be different from all previous years in more ways
than one.
Of significance, is that the breakout session with Conference Directors will take place
prior to the general meeting with everyone. It is therefore imperative that you arrive
early so that we can maximize our time together at this important first meeting.
Be aware also that where Directors of the Conference have two or more departments
( like in my case Communication and Religious Liberty), both groups will meet at the
same place and time. The Conference officer will relate to one department first and
then the other.
Where church members are elected to serve in more than one department, it is strongly
recommended that an assistant or another person from the department represent your
church at the Leaders' Summit.
With this in mind, I invite all newly elected Communication Leaders and Assistants,
Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Leaders and Assistants, as well Communication
(Audio Visual) team members who will be serving for 2015, to meet with me at 9:00
am at the Kingsway Prep. School ( on the grounds of the Kencot SDA Church) on the
first floor. We will have one hour and forty five minutes to share and interact. Here, I
will share with you my vision for the department going forward along with the
calendar of special dates and events for 2015.
At the end of our meeting, we will move over to the Kencot Church were we will join
with the other leaders for a special business session to be directed by President Eric
Nathan.
It is critical that this information be shared in the church. I am therefore requesting that
Church Clerks and Communication Leaders ensure that this information be shared with
the general church population on Sabbath.
