(Technical Product Manager / Product Owner)

Role Overview
If you are a seasoned Program/Product Manager with a creative flare, strong problem-solving skills,
excellent communication skills, ability to influence business and technical leaders in a dynamic
environment and the desire to be a leader in Amdocs Mobile Financial Services next generation
technology, we want to talk with you. Joining our team provides the unique challenge and opportunity
to build software systems in an agile way. You will lead massive initiatives across the organization,
delivering innovative payments, financial products and services to our customers.
The ideal candidate will draw upon exemplary program / product management, critical thinking, and
problem solving skills, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems. The candidate
should be open to new challenges, extremely good at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed
and a great team player. Candidate should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate
effectively with aggressive cross-functional business and software development teams to solve
problems and implement new solutions.
Responsibilities:

In an agile environment, drive the entire product lifecycle: functional and non-functional
requirements definition through specification, design, coding, quality assurance, implementation,
integration, launch, and production support.
Execute upon established internal product ownership processes for release vision, estimating,
planning, execution, and reporting (iteration plans vs. actuals).
Refine underlying feature requests from multiple sources (e.g. marketing, customer engagement,
solution hosting teams, and internal engineering), to recommend alternative technical and business
approaches. Then lead the engineering efforts as the product owner to meet aggressive timelines.
Create, maintain and own all the user stories (functional and non-functional) which resonate with
business leaders as well as engineering teams. This includes breaking-down work into logical
functional groupings to enable the team to deliver the highest business value early, and often.
Clarify, prioritize and drive product commitments, as well as establish and maintain a clear chain of
accountability, to deliver product releases according to schedule.

Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the
business needs versus technical constraints, and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize
business benefit.
Effectively manage expectations and resolve conflicts that balance customer needs, the Amdocs
brand, and technology needs. This requires making hard, high-judgment trade-offs between feature
richness and speed-to-market.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of industry experience as a program/product manager within a technology environment,


with a long record of successfully delivering complex software systems or services.
Experience as a product owner in an agile environment from the payments and/or mobile industry,
focusing on both functional and non-functional features.
Familiarity with web services, transaction workflow modeling and enterprise application integration.
Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices and identify what truly matters. Problem
solving skills are a must.
Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of business and technical leadership.
Mastery of software processes (development, configuration, testing, and deployment) is critical.
Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

High energy and a positive outlook.


Prior experience as a software engineer, tester, or solution architect is a plus.
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently.
Several years of eCommerce experience and an exposure to Service Oriented Architectures.
Bachelor or Masters Degree in business, computer science or engineering preferred.
