THE FIRST VALENTINE

The first valentine was for

no animal fitted to be his help

and formed little Eve.

and his valentine faded away

that h/ had left was a PROMISE that God would

some day send a REDEEMER.

The second valentine was alao^^ormed b^' my God when Just outside of Old

Jerusalem He took the blood from the wounded side of my Lord and brought forth

on the Day of Pentecost the chw;^etrr<^e bri^ of the 2nd, Adam, my Lord. What

if you will let God do so, get "The Gnspel of Prayer, its practice and Psychology"

iVHAT ARE WE TO DO?

When an influential Christian'J^^stice of the peace says, "If you have room

I would like to prepare to be a minister of Christ." He has been a Christian for

several years and his life shows that he earnestly desires to prepare hims-lf for
greater service in Christ's Kingdom.

When another Christian says, "Ask Bro, Rodney if I can come to school now,"

He holds services in his home every night and he said to Guillermo' Carcano, the
advanced student whe p^rcaches in his village over the week-ends, "I know how
to lead the hymns, to administer the Lord's supper but Oh its so hard to teach

the Bible when I know so little about it,"

because of debts we still owe on the ranch and school equipment*

With the gold market and the American dollar in danger of slipping it puts
the mission here in a very dangerous financial position. For every 10 cent the
dollar might drop on the world exchange i t would boost the amount we would have

to haye to pay our debts here S200 dollars more, a 20 cent drop S^OO dollars etc

Because of the above reason, and because we don't like to be in debt, we

believe that it is imperitive that our debts be paid before we receive new
students.

By the grace of God we will continue with the 6 advaucea students'

now in school until the debts are paid*

THANKS EE TO GOD!

Fer those who sacrificed that we might have the $400 dollars needed to
apply for our permanent resident passport here in Mexico. It new has been

applied for and we are praying, and ask that you pray with us, that it be
granted soon by the /Mexican government, if the Lord so wills,

We also thank God that our family, the students and the families of the
native ministers have been in good health so far this winter.

Above all we thank God again for your earnest prayers, your sacrificial
your leve for His Kingdom throughout the years.

Above all remember, us in prayer and give a VALENTINE FOR JESUS, the very
personification of God's love.

The building pictured above used to be an old hospital. When the Doctor owner
ied, his sons took out the doors, window, beams and took up the floors and sold them.
This building needs to be restor^ by Sept, to help us with the expanding needs
of Saltillo Christian llLSsion,

t/hen we caiae to Saltillo there was just one grattiate

from Colegio Biblico to help us in the founding of congregations. Since then many
congregations have been founded and many many young people are waiting for an opport
unity to serve the Lord,

We have good teachers, now we need a good place for them to teach.
If the 9
rooms in this building are restored, besides the 3 used by the Sanchez, vre will have

adequate space for some time.

Each room will cost about $200 dollars each to be rs'

Church of Christ" taught by Juan Lopez, graduate of S. C. S, "How to Use Your Bible"
and "Problems of Youth" were classes taught by Rodney G. Northrup. "The Hour of
Music" was a joint project of Maysel K, Northrup and Celestina Samaniego, teachers
in S. C. S.

The afternoon evangelistic services were led by Fransisco Luna. The sunrise,
vesper and fireside were led by the students and faculty of S, C. S.

Besides her many other activities Celestina used the flannel graph in each
service to illustrate and teach another truth about Christian living.
Maysel Northrup in the kitchen counted ninety participants in the Easter Youth

Please remember us much in prayer as we look forward to revivals in Jmie, camps
