RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING OF AN ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF

ELECTING BOARD MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT OF SAN JUAN


COUNTY, NEW MEXICO.
BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The regular college District election shall be held in the Community College District of San Juan
County, New Mexico on the 3rd day of March 2015, this being the first Tuesday in March to elect two (2)
members of the Community College District Board from Districts 2 and 3 for a term of six (6) years.
The positions shall be designated on the ballot as: Position 2 and Position 3, and only one person
shall be elected for each position.
Any resident of the Community College District who is a qualified elector of the State of New
Mexico, and who resides within the district from which a member is to be elected who desires to become a
candidate for the office of member of the Community College District Board shall file a declaration in the
Office of the County Clerk between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on January 14, 2015.
Declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate shall be filed on January 27, 2015 before 5:00
p.m.
The voting precincts in San Juan College Districts 2 and 3 will be consolidated into Voter
Convenience Centers. The voters registered in San Juan College Districts 2 and 3 may vote at any Voter
Convenience Center. The Voter Convenience Centers are as follows:

In the event that only one candidate has filed a declaration of candidacy for each position to be
filled at an election and no declared write-in candidates have filed for any position, and there are no
questions or bond issues on the ballot, only one polling place for the election shall be designated, and it
shall be in the Office of the County Clerk of San Juan County in Aztec, New Mexico.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that absentee voting shall be permitted in the manner authorized
by Section 1-22-19, and the Absentee Voting polling place shall be at the Office of the County Clerk in
Aztec, New Mexico.
Each polling place shall be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the date of said election.
Electors must be registered in the Office of the County Clerk, and the registration books shall be
closed by the County Clerk at 5:00 p.m. on February 3, 2015.
This resolution shall be published on the 3rd day of January 2015 in The Daily Times and as
otherwise required by law.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the resolution duly adopted by the Community
College District of San Juan County at a regular board meeting held on
December 2, 2014, at which meeting a quorum was present and a majority voted in favor of the resolution.
