Getting the victory

We need to have a rightly-divided understanding. The devil uses scriptures. In a fiery trial, it is like being
cast into a furnace. But Yeshua is with us, so we would not worship other gods, or yield to them … It could
be likened to Yeshua’s suffering, and the burning of the beast’s body without the camp. (Compare
Hebrews 13:11,12 with Leviticus 16:27) It is not the will of our flesh. Peter said to Yeshua, “Be it far from
thee, Adon: This shall not be unto thee.” But Yeshua said, “Get thee behind me, Satan …” (Matthew
16:22,23) He called him Satan. He was savouring what men savour, and not the things of Elohiym.

They that are Mashiyach’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. (Galatians 5:24)

Paul learned to “take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for
Mashiyach’s sake.” (2 Corinthians 12:10) We need to go through this.

Isaiah 48:10 “… I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.”
We get refined there.

The devil and his ministers prophesy falsely, and the people love to have it so. They tell people smooth
things that are easy for the flesh to hear. (What people want to hear.)

Proverb 20:17 (“Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.”)

Proverb 16:25; Proverb 14:12 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the
ways of death.”

The flesh does not want to be obedient to the truth. (As in the parable that Yeshua spoke when the citizens
sent a message saying, “We will not have this man to reign over us.” Luke 19:14)

We need to seek Elohiym for more of His Spirit – to have strength to overcome. Be encouraged in this. It
is His will that we overcome.

Job 36:21 “… regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.” But no affliction – no
washing*.

Yeshua came to deliver us from deceit. His truth sets us free …

Psalm 91:13 “Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample
under feet.” In the account of Samson and the young lion, there was a sweetness brought forth (in the
natural). In a spiritual sense, when the lion is slain, there is a sweetness brought forth … The peaceable
fruit of righteousness. When we overcome the lies of the devil, it brings forth a sweetness … Overcoming
evil with good is a blessing. It brings peace.
