Purpose of the JOJOS SYSEX-IR Converter:
JoJos_Sysex_IR-Converter is a lightweight Java application, which converts the new .syx Cab-IR format
(valid from FW10) of the Axe-Fx II in a .wav format.
CONVERSION INTO THE .WAV FORMAT HAS FOLLOWING BENEFITS:
1. Own Cab IRs, which are created with the Axe-Fx II internal IR-capture tool can be used in .wav
format on a computer.
2. Own Cab IRs, which are exported from the Axe-Fx II internal TMA-block can be used in .wav
format on a computer.
3. Due to the conversion into .wav, Fractal Audio optional PRODUCER PACK IRs can be used in
DAWs and in IR-Player Plugins on a computer.
A considerable benefit consists in being able to comfortably and intuitively mixing different
Cab-IRs for an audio production. Furthermore, the own mixes of different Cab-IRs, which are
produced on the computer can be used in the Axe-FX II.

BACKGROUND:
Due to technical reasons the IR-Cab .syx file format in FW10 is modified. The format previous to
FW10 is 32bit fixed point, while the new format in FW10 is .syx 32bit floating point. FW10 Cab-IRs
created with the Axe- FX II's IR-capture tool, as well as exported from the TMA block, are available
only in the new format. Thus, tools as AlbertA`s Axe-Fx IR Converter 2.0 or Ownhammers axe-omatic are not able to convert FW10 IR-Cab .syx files into .wav files. JoJos_Sysex_IR-Converter bridges
this gap.

OPERATION MANUAL:
1) Select the .syx file format
a) Automatic detection of the syx. File format (new/old). If the format is not detected
correctly, the format can by set manually, see b) and c)
b) New .syx format (valid from FW10)
c) Old .syx format (valid before FW10)
2) Select the .wav file format (precision)
a) 32 bit .wav file
b) 24 bit .wav file
There is an additional checkbox which can by selected in order to add the label _32bit or
_24bit, according to the selected .wav file format, at the end of the filename.
3) Push the "Select SYX Folder" button in order to set the path to the folder containing the .syx
files. The selected path is displayed below the button.

4) Push the "Select WAV Folder" button in order to set the path of the folder in which the
converted .wav files are saved. The selected path is displayed below the button.
5) Push the CONVERT button in order to convert all .syx Cab-IR files located in the Set SYX
Folder folder into .wav files. The .wav files are saved in the Set WAV Folder. The filenames
of the original .syx files are inherited.
Warning: Files already located in the "Select WAV Folder" folder and with identical names are
overwritten.
Notice: The VST tool MIX IR can handle both, 24bit and 32bit .wav files. The VST plugin LeCab2
considers only 24bit .wav files. Thus, when using this plugin it is imperatively required to save the
data in 24bit .wav file format.
