NOTE ON SCHOLARSHIPS SCHEME

SOURCES OF FUNDDING:
Government of Andhra Pradesh providing funds under the programme of
Non-Statutory Educational benefits to Minorities.
1. PRE MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Pre Matric scholarship will be sanctioned to the economically backward
Minority students from VI to X Class,
Whose family income does not exceeds Rs. 12,000/- per annum.
The Scholarship amount shall be disbursed to the students who put in 75%
attendance in normal time.
RATES OF SCHOLARSHIP:
Scholarship will be sanctioned
@ Rs. 60/- per month to VI to VII Classes for a period of 10 months
@ Rs. 80/- per month to VIII to X Classes for a period of 10 months
PROCEDURE FOR DISBURSEMENT:

1.

Press notification calling application forms from eligible candidates will


be issued by Head office in the month of June every year in all leading
newspapers (Telugu & Urdu).

2.

Filled in application forms will he received in the office of Executive


Director / DMWOs directly from schools.

3.

On receipt of scholarship forms, E.Ds / DMWOs will scrutinize all


application forms with reference to the original T.C and Income
Certificate available in the High School and submit to the committee
for approval.

4.

The Selection Committee consists of Joint Collector, District Education


Officer, E.D. APSMFC/DMWO.
The list will be approved by the
committee duly keeping in observance the procedure for sanction of
scholarships.

5.

After selection, the name the students selected for scholarships along
with the amount sanctioned shall be displayed on the notice board of
the concerned High School and the office of E.D. /DMWO.

6.

RELEASE AND DISBURSEMENT :

(a) On receipt of the list of students selected duly approved by the


Selection Committee. E.D.s/ DMWOs shall prefer claims and issue
Bankers Cheque/DD in favour of Head Master of the institution.

(b) On

receipt of the cheques/DD the Head Master shall made


disbursement in favour of individual scholarship holder by way of
Cheque / cash.

(c) The un-disbursed amount shall be returned to the V.C. & Managing
Director by means of Banker Cheque/DD.
PROPOSED SYSTEM OF DISBURSEMENT:

It is proposed to disburse scholarships directly to the Bank


Accounts of the respective scholarship holders from Principal bank of the
Corporation either Electronic Transfer where ever possible or otherwise.
2. POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP & FEES REIMBURSEMENT
The Post Matric scholarship will be sanctioned to the minority students of
Intermediate, Graduation, post Graduation and Professional courses to the
economically backward minority students.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Post Matric Scholarship & Fee reimbursement will be sanctioned to the


Economically Backward Minority students

Whose parents/guardians annual income does not exceeds Rs.33,500/per annum for general courses and Rs.44,500/- per annum for
professional courses.
Below 5 K.M. No Scholarship
Above 5 K.M. will be treated as Student Managed Hostel
Fee Reimbursement for all Students irrespective of distance
The Scholarship amount shall be disbursed to the students who put in
75% attendance in normal time

PROCEDURE FOR DISBURSEMENT:

3. INCENTIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO STATE AND DISTRICT RANKERS:
Considering the importance of education for the Socio Economic
Development of minorities, this corporation has introduced Incentive
Scholarships to Minority students for State & District Rankers during the current
year 2005-06 with a view to encourage the minorities to pursue higher studies.
The Incentive scholarship will be awarded to the meritorious minority
students who top the Public Examination under Pre Matric (only 7th class), SSC,
Intermediate, /Graduation, Professional Courses and Post Graduation levels.

The Minority students who secure 1st to 5th ranks and 6th to 10th ranks are
awarded incentive Scholarship as per the rates given below:
