About Bharati Vidyapeeth

Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent body of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai
and other Bharati Vidyapeeth Campuses, is one of the largest networks of educational institutions in
India. It was established by Dr. Patangrao Kadam in 1964 in
Pune, with a focused objective of bringing about intellectual
awakening of people and for preparing manpower capable of
contributing effectively towards national development,
particularly economic development. Within a short span this
institution has established its reputation for academic

internationally. Initially a cluster of twelve institutions

About Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering

Started with the cause of spreading technical education in 1990 Bharati Vidyapeeth College of
Engineering is renowned for quality contribution in the field of technological development.
Permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE, the College has
devoted itself to train and develop budding technocrats. With around 1900 students and 120
faculty members the College is consistently meeting the requirements of academic as well as

For last 23 years the department of Applied Sciences in

BVCOE has been strengthening the foundation of technocrats
by providing them with excellent skills in basic sciences. The
students are being nurtured not only in their knowledge of basic
sciences but also made better human beings by trainings in soft
skills with the help of well established laboratories. The
department aims and always puts in efforts to widen the horizon
of students for better understanding and growth in their future
years.

Advancing into the 20th year of establishment the department

of Chemical engineering has been a feather in the cap of
BVCOE. Working for the excellence in academic as well as
industrial requirement the department is well equipped with
10 exclusive core chemical engineering Laboratories and a
well designed computer laboratory with sufficient software.
The hard work put in by the faculty is consistently rewarded
by extraordinary placements and university ranks. This is
proved by our alumni holding various prestigious positions
across the globe.

The department of Computer Engineering has taken charge of

the all round development of its students inculcating
professional ethics as well as humanitarian values. Initiating
the Masters programme in Computer Engineering is a big
milestone in the journey of the department. All the laboratories
are fully fledged with PCs of latest configuration having
6 mbps broadband internet connection.

Since its establishment the department of EXTC is nurturing

the students to face the revolutionary changes in the field of
Electronics and Telecommunication. The students are
strategically developed to mark their presence in todays era of
communication and competition. The department has 9
different laboratories supporting the curricula. Its a matter of
pride that the efforts of the department have been recognized
and the student intake has been doubled this year.

The department of Information Technology, established in

2000 seeks to achieve excellence in education and
industry. The focus is on providing balance of theoretical

through various activities and training programmes.

The Annual Festival of College, Abhiyaan celebrates the

The department of Mechanical Engineering has been

functional since the inception of the institute. The department
boasts of double intake of students and is recognized for
outstanding academic performance and well deserved
placements. The students are prepared for their future
through well maintained laboratories and quality teaching.
Various student chapters such as ISHARE, MESA, SAE are
functional. The students have achieved great success in SAE
chapter and have been selected at international level.

equipments in the workshop of BVCOE enable students
to develop their practical skills. In the large expanse of
1120 sq.mtrs. the students hone their skills with hands on

A well equipped library with 6845 titles, 35255 volumes, 55 National, 200 International and many
online journals Each department has a library By the students for the students comprising of an
approximate total of 1330 titles and 3464 volumes.
